Two stars too few, three too many.Accommodation: The first impression of the castle was welcoming and atmospheric. The architecture and surroundings were impressive. However, upon closer inspection, many small defects became apparent, which did not necessarily reflect the high quality as it was advertised. Although the rooms were small and cozy, they were also intended to serve as studies. Unfortunately, there was a lack of sufficient light, which impaired the learning effect.Food: The food at the Park and Lake hunting school was varied and OK. It may not have been a masterpiece, but it was definitely tasty and always satisfying. Fresh ingredients were used and the food selection was varied enough to suit the tastes of different guests. Overall, the quality of the food was satisfactory and contributed to the pleasant atmosphere during my stay.Education and Shooting Training: Hands-on training and shooting training at Park and Lake Hunting School were critical, but there were some challenges. Initially, we were assured that we would visit the shooting cinema every day, in addition to two visits to the shooting range. However, we were actually only able to use the shooting cinema five times and the quality did not meet our expectations. After the first three days in the shooting cinema, all participants felt confident in handling the weapon, but during their first live shooting, some had concerns about whether they would pass the test. At the shooting range, each participant was only allowed to complete one round for each discipline, which included 10 rounds of shot and 5 rounds for each discipline - a number that proved to be insufficient. Although it was possible to reload an additional 5 shots, this required additional costs.Costs and Additional Fees: The financial side was extremely disappointing and I feel ripped off. Although breakfast was included in the price, lunch and dinner were only offered as options, but quickly proved to be the only choice. Storing or preparing food was not permitted, and outside of break times there were few places to get food other than a chip shop. So you were forced to bear the high costs of €40 per day. Although the food was acceptable, it didn't justify the price. What was particularly disappointing, however, was the urgent recommendation for an additional course to obtain the knowledgeable person certification for €90. We were convinced that this certificate was not part of the hunter exam. To our annoyance, however, it turned out that I now have this exact certificate twice.Friendliness: Unfortunately, the tone was not as warm as I would have expected. The group quickly got used to not asking any further questions as they were often answered with ungrateful comments. The hospitality left something to be desired and I often felt like I was viewed more as a paying guest, obligated to pay for and accept every offer.Friendliness: Unfortunately, the tone left something to be desired and was rather strict and not very accommodating. In some cases the tone of the answers was inappropriate and did not contribute to a positive atmosphere, both during the lesson and in general. It quickly became a habit not to ask any further questions as they were often answered with ungrateful comments. Hospitality also fell short of expectations and I often had the feeling that I was viewed as more of a paying guest who was simply obligated to accept and pay for any offer.
