Delightful little castle overlooking a beautiful small little town. Dating back to the 1200's, this place has more history than you can shake an axe at! Open to the public and an easy walk, I would check it out if you're in the area. Won't take, it's not the largest but it is fun. Sometimes the beer garden is open... Sometimes not.

It's a must. Unfortunately it's not as well publicized as it should be. Of all the castles, this is the one that has impressed me the most so far in my life, as you can walk freely around the ruins and simply observe everything. I recommend going during the week outside peak hours to have the experience of exploring all the rooms almost on your own (opening hours are said to be until 5pm, but we got in without any problems at 6pm to see the ruins - there's no restaurant open or anything, but it's also for free). I recommend it 100%

I attended a team building event. The backdrop of the castle was outstanding, and the event was very good. The dinner entertainment was very entertaining!!!!!!The food was high quality, but strange we had no forks, just a knife, I guess authenticity? The complimentary beer cup made it back to the UK in one piece, so I was happy.Overall highlyrecommended and compliments to everyone speaking such good English!!!!!!!

The ruins sit atop a high view point with a great view. We stated in the 3 bedroom apartment for a few nights and never wanted to leave. It's so peaceful and quaint.

I was taken away by how well built and maintained this property was. The huge land that it was on is captivating. Great attractions!

The castle ruins are well preserved. Entrance to the territory is free. There is a toilet on site and it is possible to buy food. You can get to the castle on foot for about 40 minutes or by car. 2-3 hours is enough for a visit. take warm clothes as there is a very strong wind at the top.
