We stayed at the guesthouse for two nights with our dog. Of course it was announced in advance that we would be bringing our dog with us. The landlady had probably not noted this down and was surprised when we arrived with our dog. We immediately felt unwelcome, it was communicated that the dog had to go into the car at breakfast - in the summer at 28 degrees - and under no circumstances could it stay alone in the room. She even cheekily asked where the dog was the next morning at breakfast. It's so outrageous to demand that an animal has to go into the car in such temperatures. Of course we didn't do that and I made it clear when we left that it was an impertinence to ask for something like that. The innkeeper then reacted incomprehensibly. The breakfast was very poor. We definitely cannot recommend the guesthouse and will not visit it again. Regardless of the differences over our dog, we noticed how strangely the innkeeper reacted and communicated with other guests. It seems as if it was all about money and not at all about guest friendliness

Small family pension, guest house is located next to the winery. Rooms are nice and tidy. The bathrooms downstairs are a bit old, but okay. Breakfast is in the main building, a really old room, similar to a cottage. Breakfast was completely sufficient, eggs, quark, tea, etc. on request. So with a compromise on the external appearance of the farm - in contrast to other wineries, not renovated - overall a good starting point for the area.

A solid accommodation! The rooms are nice but not super fancy or totally modern. The breakfast was also good. Everything you needed was there (and a little more. And if something is missing, we should let you know). The hosts were very nice and friendly.Everything went smoothly and well. The host had a few wild conspiracy theories. If you can't handle that well, you should perhaps avoid the topics or more intensive contact. But that has nothing to do with the accommodation.I think I wouldn't recommend wine tasting because I wouldn't be interested in the topics.

We were guests at the Raven's Nest for a week, but we rarely felt like one. The rooms, which were actually quite nice, were rarely cleaned. The breakfast, which is advertised as a breakfast buffet, would have been fine if it hadn't been so counted or if it had been refilled more readily upon request. The 2 rolls per person were often hard, dry and old.

Good wines; good tasting; good explanation by the winemaker; good prices. Overnight stay with breakfast possible. The furniture in the room we had, the furniture here should be replaced. What is very negative is that there is no restaurant in the entire town, so you have to drive into the surrounding area and the driver cannot drink Rhenish Hessian wine.

The Rabennest is a wonderful and cozy hostel. I have been a guest here many times and have always felt very comfortable. The Köhler family is an excellent host and Mr. Köhler, even though he had to give up a few locations, is and remains committed to the expansion of the Scheurebe. a really big one. Since I also read the reviews before me, I would like to point out three things:Firstly, breakfast. The breakfast isn't huge, but ok. completely sufficient and tasty. If you want a hotel buffet, you should rent one for double the overnight price. As for the village - yes, it is quiet and sleepy. But for one thing, you figure things out before you go on a trip (there's an old-fashioned thing called the INTERNET). On the other hand, this cannot be blamed on the hostel. This is simply an irrelevant argument. Finally, I would recommend a TAXI to the connoisseur of Rhine-Hessian wines who complains about the lack of food and the resulting obligation to drive themselves and therefore not be able to drink. The nearest excellent restaurants are a stone's throw away, i.e. a tax of around 8 euros. The numbers can be found on the INTERNET. The Raven's Nest has WiFi. ;-)All in all: I just feel really comfortable here every time and I come here precisely because of the peace and quiet, the beautiful restaurants in the surrounding villages and the hospitable Köhler family.

unfriendly contact - we had booked two nights. The hosts then informed us that they had to travel. We were understanding when it came to organizing the whole thing (breakfast away from a friend's house, etc.). However, when we had to cancel due to illness, there was no accommodation whatsoever. The tone was rigid and unfriendly in telephone contact. No thanks.

Room and breakfast okay. The guest information will probably have changed by now. Despite early cancellationThe full amount is charged for a room. Since the one in questionIf the person who couldn't come with you is sick, they don't want to expose you to the stress. Too bad

The raven's nest in Heimersheim is really beautiful. It's completely uncomplicated to stay overnight here. Everything is very clean and furnished with attention to detail. We felt very comfortable and would book here again at any time.
