Stay away from this “hotel”!We had booked a room for 8 people in this “hotel” in Butzbach because it was close to a festival. We were aware of the bad reviews, but the reality was even worse than we imagined. The rooms were dirty, I was glad I had my own sleeping bag. The furniture was haphazardly thrown together and in a dilapidated state. There were dirty socks on the balcony and the kitchen was just disgusting. The bathroom was so dirty that showering was impossible - we simply didn't do it.We were assigned the first floor, but after our visit to the festival, three more people suddenly showed up. The rooms can only be locked from the outside and you have to be careful not to hold the door handle in your hand.We also booked two parking spaces. These were in a dirty and littered yard where you had to be careful not to break your car. There were also outside stairs to the basement, but railings or fall protection? None! The owner couldn't speak a word of German, which made communication extremely difficult. Things don't seem to be going well either.Stay away from this “hotel”! Absolutely not recommended.

Our room and bathroom were clean. Furniture is simple. I give 5 stars because the price/performance ratio is right. The location is great, old town within walking distance.

Very bad service!! The people on the phone can't even talk to guests properly. I just called to ask something and the man on the phone was very unfriendly and simply hung up without answering my question.Very disrespectful

Email to internet provider:My husband just informed me via video chat about the unacceptable conditions of this “accommodation”. I think you would do well to remove this - excuse the expression - shithole from your offerings. We read the bad reviews in advance, but we thought that there are always people who have something to complain about - which doesn't include us.But that goes too far - it started with the fact that the door couldn't be opened, my husband had to remove the door lock to even get into the room... everything else in brief in advance: the toilet cover was just lying on it, it wasn't fastened , Shower completely fell off this morning, chair legs broken, bed frame brittle, not remotely the specified equipment available, not even a cup... not to mention the hygienic conditions. My husband seriously considered sleeping in the car because he was worried about catching something because it's so dirty. The risk of injury is also very high because the “equipment” is dilapidated in such a way that everything is in danger of collapsing or breaking off, nails are sticking out of the wall and you'll tear your arm open as you walk past. THAT doesn't work like that!We are not willing to accept this and are demanding a refund. We reserve the right to consult legal advice or consumer protection or the public authorities (health department and/or public order office). Actually, you should be talking about compensation for a weekend that you were looking forward to and then you find something like that and you're just annoyed and disgusted.I can also send you relevant images when my husband is back home (hopefully healthy!).signed Gielow

I would like to give this Hotel United -10 stars.First of all, it's a shame that something like this can call itself a hotel and it's a shame that the operator can apparently continue to rip people off without being held accountable. I'm still annoyed that in my state of shock I neglected to take photos. We wasted 50 euros for a room, which was a shame, first of all there was no one present to check in, then my contact person on the phone wasn't able to speak German fluently or understand it. The accommodation proved to be unreasonable upon entering and also in its external condition. It smelled extremely like stale and sweaty air. Firstly, the room we got wasn't the one I had booked and secondly, it didn't have an extra bed so my son wouldn't have had anywhere to sleep. Then the furniture was a collection of broken, broken rubbish thrown together, the bed had a dirty mattress, no sheets, covers thrown together, just a blanket and the pillows were so clumped together that they belonged in the rubbish. That was definitely the reason we left this place immediately. Complaints were dismissed with “I don’t understand.” And in the end no one answered the phone anymore. This hovel should be closed immediately.Oh and as stated on Expedia, breakfast is available and there is a bathroom in the room. It's a lie, there is a shared bathroom in the hallway and there is no breakfast room.So just keep your hands off it.

I would like to give our feedback on this accommodation 2 adults 1 child.I was born in Butzbach and wanted to support the small owners instead of the big hotels.I have to say that I am very disappointed with this accommodation!First of all, there is an extremely smelly smell of urine at the entrance to the house (I know that as the owner you can't influence that) but IN the entrance to the house and IN THE room it's something different! The hallway is totally dirty (the dirt wasn't just from today or from 1 month ago)the cupboards are dirty and broken, not to mention the bathroom. The bathroom could be so nice if you had a decent cleaner (you should urgently find a new one) the shower, sink, paper holder and vanity look like they haven't been cleaned in months. The blinds have broken off and are missing. The mattress was worn through and the sheets were dirty. The handle of the bathroom door is broken, we held it in our hands several times (it would have been impossible to get out of the bathroom alone)The ice compartment in the refrigerator is completely covered in ice.The fire alarm is missing (which is a requirement for rental)A company should definitely carry out a basic cleaning and some things need to be repaired. The landlords don't seem to care what the rooms with bathrooms look like (the main thing is that they get their money)Hygiene 1* catastropheCleanliness 1* disasterFurniture 1* catastropheContact 2** works much betterLocation 5***** because it is great!
