The “Pension Stiefelwirt” - owner Petra MaxbauerThe Hersching Tourist Office drew my attention to the “Pension Stiefelwirt” in Andechs-Frieding.The "Stiefelwirt" is located at Hurtenstraße 9a in a quiet and idyllic location, less than 150m from the town center and everything you need can be reached quickly and easily on foot.In addition, the main town of Andechs with its famous monastery brewery is only a few minutes away from the Frieding district.The Ammersee can also be reached in about 10-15 minutes, depending on where you want to go.The Maxbauer family are all very, very friendly and helpful. Both of my overnight stays included breakfast, which is served in the building next door - a former inn.Breakfast has everything you need for a good start to the day, including homemade jellies and jams.It is very cozy, both at breakfast and in the rooms.My room was - even though I came as a single person - a three-bed room with a bathroom and shower, as well as a TV and a small table with chairs.I didn't need anything more.The bed was firm and the shower in the bathroom was barrier-free and had a lot of space. The decor of the room was rustic with beautiful wooden furniture and - if I saw it correctly - beautiful farmhouse cupboards.The bathroom with toilet and shower is spacious and very generous if you are alone in it. With two people - I guess - it gets a bit tight and you get in each other's way.In general, the room was very comfortable and quiet in terms of furnishings and location.The staircase is illuminated at night with LED emergency lights that react to movement, but these are already a bit dark, so it's best to use the flashlight on your cell phone to unlock the room, otherwise you'll find yourself standing in front of the door and desperately trying to get the key in to punch the lock.The service:The Maxbauer family is very helpful and always friendly in all matters.At breakfast everything is prepared to such an extent that when you come into the building next door, everything is prepared.During the time when you have breakfast, the rooms were cleaned - in my case - and you can really leave everything there, nothing gets lost.On the day of departure, the invoice was prepared so that it could be processed quickly.My conclusion:Quiet location, spacious, beautifully modernized room, friendly staff, good breakfast and wishes are catered for.Highly recommended and will certainly not be my last visit to Maxbauer.

Super friendly. Super clean. Decent breakfast with homemade jam. Very good price/performance ratio. I always enjoy coming here and feel at home.
