Room was good, food was lovely and the lady who served us very nice. As mentioned by others lady with red hair very curt and humourless and actually quite rude when asking us to leave after meal and drinks even though not particularly late and others still there especially as we were all residents. It kind of spoilt the end of a lovely evening.

We reserved a room over the phone for a long time (due to a lack of online options). We needed a stopover to stay overnight and eat on a longer bike tour. In May, a month before the appointment, I wrote another email and asked for written reservation confirmation, but received no answer on phone. The reservation was confirmed upon request. Today, Saturday, we arrived after 70 km on our bikes and found the doors locked and a sign stating opening times Fri+Sun. After a long search, I obviously found the boss behind the house - who simply asked me for his name and disappeared into the somewhat neglected-looking house. When I asked whether it wasn't open at all today (unlike what was communicated on the homepage, among other things): "No." No effort was made to appropriately welcome exhausted and hungry cyclists. We decided not to stay overnight because the reviews here didn't suggest a particularly nice and/or clean room.

First of all, I would like to write something really positive about my review. The food and the price-performance ratio are really great.I eat at this restaurant almost regularly with my family. It's very easy for us to find a good dish because we almost always have the great duck with red cabbage and dumplings. Very tasty. But unfortunately there is also a criticism from me.The waitresses always try hard to make the guest feel comfortable. But unfortunately there is a waitress (Renate) who has not learned to be friendly and courteous. On the contrary, she is rude and leaves the table while ordering, even though you haven't finished it yet. There is no good day, please, thank you or goodbye. If the kitchen wasn't so damn good, then we would probably no longer be with you because of this service.

Important in advance: You cannot pay by card! There is a savings bank next door. The Hörhammer inn is almost right at the front of the book “Enjoyment with History”, which invites you to stop off in old and beautiful inns in Upper Bavaria. When you enter the inn, you have the feeling that time has been turned back (perhaps also because one or two conversations at the neighboring table about the big trip to Munich made us smile). The furnishings are very rustic and cozy, like the parlor of old.Unfortunately, the smell that greets you when you enter the restaurant is a mixture of a cellar and a retirement home. The waitress was very friendly and brought the one-page menu to our table. Spoiler: Vegetarian dishes (except side salad) haven't arrived in Zolling yet - but that didn't bother us.We drank very refreshing light beer and ordered roast venison. When you have such a small menu, you as a guest are actually happy because you assume that everything is freshly prepared. The deer meat was very tender and tasty. Unfortunately the sauce tasted like a finished product, which is a shame - the taste of yeast extract overshadowed everything. The spaetzle, on the other hand, looked homemade and there were lots of fresh mushrooms on the plate. Conclusion: - Waiters who apparently don't like each other (see also the other comments), ready-made sauce, cobwebs and cellar smell, no card payment+ delicious side salad, refreshing beer, fast food and serviceMaybe a visit to the beer garden in summer for a cool beer would be worthwhile - but not because of the food.

Were here for dinner and very satisfied. There is Bavarian cuisine, game, Saures Lüngerl, Milzwurst and standards such as schnitzel and onion roast roast in very good quality. In summer, the beautiful, shady beer garden is worth a visit.

I'm just reviewing the accommodation here -- boss gave me the feeling "I'm not in the mood for you at the moment", is very unfriendly. My room (outbuilding at the top) was dirty (hair, lint, dust, cobwebs everywhere, remote control looked like someone had used it as a spoon to eat and quickly wiped it off on their pants) Bathroom broken tiles, mold. Room price not justified. Never again.

Exceptionally good local cuisine as well as excellent game dishes. Very friendly service. Really good old Bavarian tavern ambience that you unfortunately almost can't find anymore.

We would love to eat there more often as the food is great and you can sit in a nice environment. But the red-haired, firm waitress really ruins every shred of good mood and joy. After a “have a nice day” there is only a “thank you” and no “you too” or anything else. It's really great there but the service is useless!!
