A serene retreat with excellent amenities! It is nestled a bit remote from downtown Freiburg in a tranquil forest, so consider taking a cab or car. Every corner seems well-renovated. Modern, clean and comfortable rooms. Not sure how it is during the summer though, I did not find air conditioning but ventilators are provided. I presume it might be getting hot on the upper floors. The thermal baths are a highlight, providing relaxation and rejuvenation. Very friendly staff and a varied buffet, excellent menu options in the restaurant.

First thing to say is pack mosquito repellent as the air is alive with them and most of our group got badly bitten. Stayed here for a two day business meeting. …

The Hotel is very nice. The service is as well. The only thing i didn't like were the rooms. They get hot very quick and they dont have airconditioning. So the temperatures in the summer are not great. Also i found that the services were very expensive. Renting a bike is 25 euro's a day. Going swimming in an average swimming pool was 20 euro's.That being said. The food was great, the personnel were great and we really enjoyed the location.

Lovely hotel in a wonderful location. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially the restaurant staff, they couldn't be faulted. The hotel itself isn't a spa hotel, but is connected to a public spa via a small underground tunnel. The public spa is well worth a visit, lots of pools inside and out and the restaurant was good and inexpensive.I stayed in both the standard and superior rooms, I would recommend the superior as it has tea and coffee facilities and is a little larger.A couple of negatives for the rooms themselves. Even at the start on June the South facing rooms were hot. I can't even imagine how warm they might get in July/August and there is no air conditioning. The other negative is the pillows, it's been mentioned before in the reviews. But the pillows are just ridiculous, I have never stayed at a hotel with such unless pillow. Now the hotel might say you can go and ask for other pillows, but I pay good money for a nice room. I don't want to check in then walk to reception to ask for a pillow. Either put decent pillows on the beds or put extra in wardrobe.Again I couldn't fault the staff at this hotel.

Lovely hotel in a great location. As mentioned in previous reviews, the staff are excellent, and cannot be faulted. There is direct access to the Keidel Thermen spa via a tunnel and it is free entry when you stay at the hotel. This includes towels and robes. The sauna is 11 euro extra which is worth it. The buffet breakfast is good and worth the low price. There is also access to the gym which is part of the rehabilitation hotel next door.

Best customer service i've ever experienced in Germany. Lovely quiet room looking out to the forest with openable french balcony door. Clean. Excellent resturant and bar. The Therme next door is easy to reach via a covered walk way and delightful! There is an easy way to get to the hotel from Freiburg Hauptbahnhof: tram and bus (or bus and walk - but after dark or with heavy bags this is a bit tricky). Trams are accessed via stairs up to a raised road at the end of the platform. Taxi costs 30 euros.

Its not often i am not satisfeid when I stay at a hotel, but this place was not worth the money, it cost around 200 euro for a night. There was No Internet conection in My room the 2 days i stayed there, so I couldent work at All.. the tv was the same, the channel was hopping on and off...the room had No ventilation and it was so hot i couldent sleep. It was not possibel to.make coffie in the room.. the pool was very Nice. And the staff was brillant...I also liked the breakfast and My salat was awsome..BUT if you take so.much money for at room, you expekt some kind of luxery...I had 30 kilo bagage with me, if I had to take puplic transport i need to change bus 3 times for 6 km...so I needed to take taxi to the hotel...and back again, ekstra 120 euro.... I was so disappointed when I left...it is not worth 200 euro at All..
