My husband and I visited this place while on a cycle tour across Europe. We stayed in the house opposite the main building. The room had a flat screen tv and it was clean and spacious. It was very quiet. The bathroom had 3in 1 soap and a hairdryer. There was a lockable garage where we could store our bikes. Breakfast was continental, we slept well and had a nice comfortable stay. Staff were friendly and efficient.

Happy that the room was super clean and breakfast was served with a smile. Actually, nothing was complicated and bed was comfortable, especially pillows…TV has mostly German channels but internet was good so we weren’t bothered to watch …

We stayed on the night of 18 January. Sparkling clean room with good facilities (modern bathroom with great shower). Innovative and delicious dinner in the restaurant at a reasonable price. Great, friendly service with willingness to explain menu items in English for us - our German is not great. Secure bike storage too.

This was our first night back in Germany and we decided to walk the short distance to the Adler for dinner. The dinner was very good, albeit the menu was not as extensive as before. The highlight of the evening, perhaps, was meeting up again with the owner of the hotel.

We stayed here for one night. The hotel was a little difficult to find. There was parking conveniently situated in front of the hotel. The room was somewhat cramped and the bed was situated under the eaves at the head end. …

We stayed one night, breaking our journey back from Italy to UK. As a result of a major traffic problem in Switzerland, we arrived way later than expected. …

We met up with friends for dinner and enjoyed another very good meal at the Adler. I ordered my usual snail soup, followed by a beef carpaccio and rounded off with an excellent chocolate fondant. The restaurant is one of our favourites particularly as it is only 100 metres from where we live.

When in the neighborhood of Breisgau which is mostly underway for summer holiday or skiing vice versa to and from the south, we always visit Gasthof Adler for at least one time dinner. Think we did so already more then 20 times. Always good, we enjoy and enjoyed it a lot.

Four of us - two couples - celebrated our Emerald Wedding Anniversary dinner at the Adler and, as expected, it was a very good dinner, with excellent service. Of particular note, was the snail soup and the beef carpaccio - both excellent.
