It is a nice place for a weekend with a large group. There is lots that you can do in the area and great hiking trails. I would also recommend the archers' guild ('schuttersgilde'). The rooms where decent (though you do have to share the rooms) and depending on what room you have, you won't wake up from the donkeys.

The donkeys make so much noise and they keep making the noise through the day. Also the smell isn't quite nice. But the place looks good!

I spent a weekend at the Ezelgasterij with my in-laws, which made an excellent first impression, but on closer inspection a number of things were not in order, including:- We were actually bitten by mosquitoes in several rooms, and we killed at least 10 mosquitoes in several rooms per night. Several kids were really covered in mosquito bites after the weekend. My 3-year-old son suffered a minor trauma and is still terrified that there is a mosquito in his room. Those mosquitoes also ensured that we had very short nights, after which you were really exhausted after a weekend.- In addition to mosquitoes, there were also a number of spiders in our room + a hay wagon, and also many spider webs.- The rooms are not clean. In several rooms there was a large dust nest under the beds. My wife has asthma and it really bothered her.- Due to all the mosquitoes, it was not possible to open a window because otherwise it would be impossible at all, making the room unpleasantly stuffy.- The outer doors of the rooms contain translucent glass, so it is not dark in the bedrooms at night. As an emergency measure, we hung garbage bags in front of this so we could sleep.- There is a waste bin in the general area, but it is far too small for a large group (we were a total of 15 people)- There is a refrigerator in the general area that makes a lot of noise. We therefore turn it off in the evening because otherwise you would be bothered by the noise.- It is not clear to camping guests which sanitary block is intended for them, so in practice everything gets mixed up- When something was said upon departure about the dust in the rooms, this was dismissed and not taken seriouslyIn short, yes, a beautiful spot in a green environment, but there is serious work to be done for the rooms and general area.

We are very excited about this magical, well-maintained pitch in beautiful nature.Clean sanitary facilities and modern check in and check out.The owner Nicole gave us a very warm welcome and invited us for a cappuccino the next morning.We got great tips about our planned bike tours.We particularly liked the cuddly little donkeys and cuddly alpacas.We had 3 quiet, relaxing nights and went on great bike rides.

Simple Camper Place. Sanitary facilities are not the newest, but they are very clean. Dirty water discharge point and clean water point. It's a pity that the electricity has to be paid afterwards, which entails additional costs. Get is otherwise just neat, so nothing wrong with it.

What a beautiful location. We came here with the camper because there was no room on the Leukermeer. Well here it is just as beautiful but much quieter. Everything neat and everything available. Highly recommended

Very nice place where we spent a night with the camper. Beautifully fenced area of well-groomed grass with plenty of space around the camper. Very nice view of donkeys and alpacas. Unfortunately the toilets/showers were closed at the moment, otherwise there is everything you need. (Power, clean water, dirty water drainage and chemical toilet) There is a reception-free check-in. Friendly owners!
