Location great—quiet and peaceful. I spent the morning watching the Elbe flow by and listening to continuous and varied birdsong. Ok, a basic room. Clean with a comfortable bed with few amenities. Hotel has seen better times but is under new management. And they were great—good English, friendly, accommodating. And the food (limited menu) was superb.

The landlord Jörg Schneider is great, attentive and helpful.The hotel's cabins are ok for the price.However, we actually wanted to camp, but after seeing the "shower" and the "toilet" behind the wooden shacks, we were no longer "able to do so".Location and view of the Elbe “a dream”.

We were only there for one night on our Elbe bike tour and would have liked to stay longer if our plans hadn't been different.The welcome and care from Jörg were really warm and perfect. The food was delicious, the area is enchanting and at night all you hear is nature surrounding you. Can you want more?If we travel the Elbe in the opposite direction, we will definitely stay here again.For those who can and want to do something with it:A rainbow flag flies on the property!The hut hotel is located directly on the Elbe cycle path on the left side under birch, spruce and pine trees. Each hut has a small terrace and a view of the Elbe. No noise and pure peace and quiet.

Since we (gentlemen of now advanced age) have been coming over once a year for almost 30 years. We can judge the progress in the kitchen very well, it has almost become a trip to gourmet paradise for us, as we are so pampered by the boss and his team (culinary and service). In recent years we have only been pampering ourselves, whether at breakfast or the menu in the evening. We hope for many more years with the current operator.👍👍🍿

Wonderful view from the slight hill - directly onto the Elbe in an area steeped in history and geological interest. Everything is intentionally kept simple with absolutely high-quality cuisine and super friendly hospitality and nice guests.The area offers great hiking destinations right on your doorstep through forests and meadows, swimming opportunities in the Elbe or forest lakes. In short, everything the soul needs.

It's fantastic there! Jörg cooks extremely well and is very personable.His huts are right on the banks of the Elbe and you don't hear anything at night except nature: calves playing, geese chattering, birds singing. The full program of peace and quiet.Big plus for “glamping” fans: you don’t have to go out to pee at night.You can google sights and hiking trails yourself 😉
