Overpriced, small portion truckstop schnitzel. Deep frozen. Better quality at a local imbis stand. I left feeling taken advantage of. # neveragain.

The place is very pleasant, quiet and a beautiful area.The rooms were very and comfortably furnished.The food was excellent as was the breakfast.Very nice hosts and great service.

Unfortunately the 4-5 stars are not understandable. I just wanted to have something for Sunday lunch. Firstly, you are ignored right from the start, no service at the door or to be found inside the restaurant. Or you are simply ignored. After about 5 minutes of waiting and looking/looking for a place (it was neither full nor were there any seats available), 2 other guests (with knowledge) went straight into the kitchen and asked for payment. "I'm still serving," came the sound from the kitchen. They were then allowed to pay. 😉 I continued to be ignored and had now placed myself inside. After the question about the card came, you can guess three times: 'I'll serve first.' There were a maximum of 6-8 people sitting in the restaurant, at least 4 of whom had already eaten. Then I finally got the menu, which I could get personally at the counter upon request and wanted to order a drink straight away. ...'I'll serve the other guests first.' After another 5 minutes no one came and I left after a good 15 minutes total time without any service. Sorry, that's not possible. Then secondly, to describe the Thuringian dumpling as Thuringian mud pampe, in the Swabian dialect, and to praise spaetzle as the highlight of kitchen culture.😄 Shoemaker, stick to your guns!! If you can't make Thuringian dumplings or know that the effort is probably five times as high as making cheap Swabian pastries, I feel sorry for you. Therefore, this conversation with other guests was also the second reason why I left the restaurant. And no, I don't have a personal problem with the operators because I don't even know them, but the first impression spoke volumes. Please let it be! I'll leave it alone and won't go there again.

Was there for a weekend and it was really great. The rooms are cozy, clean and nicely decorated. Nothing is missing. The food was fantastic, it was really tasty. Good portions. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Do their best for the guests. I will 100% come back. Simply recommended 👌

We spent 4 wonderful days in the guesthouse. Starting with the super nice owners, absolutely delicious food and lovingly furnished rooms, every wish is met here, even if it is a little out of the ordinary. Dear König family 👑 👑 👑 👑, you have truly earned the crown. We wish you all the best for the future, stay healthy. We look forward to seeing you again in your lovingly run guesthouse. After a long time we decided to visit the "Black Eagle" with new operators. We hadn't made a reservation, Ms. König gave us a friendly welcome, we were given a place straight away, and our dog was also welcome. We enjoyed the food very much. You can tell that Mr. König knows his craft. We would also like to thank you for the friendly conversation about the past and future. We wish the König family all the best, lots of inspiration for the future and lots of strength for the daily challenges.
