Paradise for bikers who are well and cheaply looked after by the operators without any frills.Clean and well maintained, not very modern but everything works.I'd love to come back.

We stayed in this house for a long weekend, I felt comfortable, as a starting point for a flight out of the Harz Mountains, nice location, nicely run hotel, which has a very private atmosphere, the owners were very nice people, were there with a motorbike, There were enough parking spaces, exactly what I was looking for for my 3 days in the Harz.

The strenght is to be found in serenity. There is enough peace and quiet in Wieda and a stay at the Hotel “Zur Schanze” is perfect for slowing down. With its nostalgic charm, it enhances the holiday. It is clean and harmoniously furnished. There are all kinds of adventure points and sights in the area. Gladly again. Have fun balancing with pure nature.

Super nice and helpful owner. Talk to each other and both sides are happy. Great AP for day tours such as Stöberhai, Grandmother (Zorge), Sachsenstein (Neuhof), Bad Sachsa, etc.The bus connections to the surrounding area are also ideal. For STAMP JÄGER Harz hiking pin 👍. LG Bernd buen Camino

We had a pleasant stay here.All original equipment from the 70s. What a journey back in time!!! I would leave the style, but remove some unnecessary dust catchers.The breakfast was prepared very lovingly.The landscape is simply great. You should enjoy the peace and quiet.

We were happy to have found alternative accommodation with this hotel. We had a holiday apartment through Airbnb and the holiday apartment was on a construction site.Here at the hotel we received a very friendly, cheerful welcome and felt comfortable right from the start!Even though the hotel is getting old, I didn't notice any smells or uncleanliness anywhere.There were nice decorative pieces everywhere in the house and also on the doors and there was something to look at everywhere...We felt very comfortable here and would just like to give one piece of advice: please take cash with you: you have to pay in cash when you leave and that made us unhappy because we didn't have enough cash with us.Otherwise, I can only advise everyone: come here and have a good time ❤️A published photo is also not correct: you are not looking at one or more high-rise buildings! Someone posted a wrong photo.You have a wonderful view of the countryside here.

A nice hotel where we slept over the weekend. It has rock-solid and rustic furnishings and everything you need to look after yourself. The innkeepers are a dream - open, friendly, helpful - everything you could wish for.If we come biking again we will probably stop here again.

From May 31, 2019 to June 5, 2019, I was lucky to get a room. I was greeted politely and very accommodating by the innkeepers and accompanied during my vacation. Since I was traveling as an individual, an individual and very tasty breakfast was prepared for me every day. Although the room facilities do not meet the ultra-modern standards, my room was clean and properly furnished. I was able to recover well, so I give it full points.

Small, cozy guesthouse whose furnishings are a bit outdated.Everything is clean and tidy. The couple who run it are very nice and put in a lot of effort.The guesthouse is quietly located on a slope with good parking, including for motorcycles. There isn't much in the town of Wieda, but Bad Sachsa is only a few kilometers away.The breakfast and food is good. Recommended for a short trip.

Not recommended, completely overpriced for the rooms and food, supposedly home cooking, everything from the can was not edible, never again was a complete failure. The whole house smells musty and not particularly clean

The host couple was very friendly. The house is simple and family-style - but it was just right for me after a strenuous day of hiking... As a single traveler, I had a double room, so there was plenty of space. The breakfast was very tasty and plentiful (including wonderful homemade jam) - I don't always experience this in this way on my hiking tours... The packed lunch for further hiking was also a hit... I never gave up The rolls, sausage and cheese as well as lettuce leaves :-) ... I could have had dinner on the day of arrival, but I didn't need that (there was still enough of the day's provisions left as I drink significantly more than I eat during hiking stages :-))The only disadvantage: with more than 30 kilometers a day in your legs and a large backpack on your back, having to walk all the way up the mountain road to house number 51 at the end was quite a challenge... ;-)Conclusion: As a hiking stop, it was a pleasant stay for me in a nice atmosphere... if I were to come to this area again, it would be very possible to do it again!

Very nice, pleasant, family atmosphere. Price-performance ratio is very good! Lunch and dinner are also offered. Very good food, lovingly prepared breakfast! Very clean and particularly hospitable, warm 😊 owners☺
