When we arrived we didn't know if we were in the right place because the house looks different in the pictures than it does in live. The house and the property are unfortunately very neglected. The geese and the pig brought us a lot of joy 🤣. The tiled stove heated really well. The duvets were good for sleeping, but very loud when you turned around. The sanitary facilities were a disaster, self-made, some of the broken drains were temporarily repaired with adhesive tape. There were toilets in the barn without heating, and some of the doors couldn't be closed at all because the door handle fell off. There was no real kitchen; the individual electrical appliances were in the hallway and functioned as a “kitchen”. Not recommended for a longer stay. Luckily we were only guests for a few days.

The location of the hut is really great. Wake up between the mountains with a great view.The tiled stove in the dining room heats up really well and made it cozy and warm.But unfortunately everything else isn't that great for the price.We had a broken ceiling lamp in our room. They wanted to take care of it and nothing happened. So we walked in the dark to the next lamp...The rooms and the furnishings are getting old and unfortunately it shows. The rustic is therefore more dilapidated than rustic. In the bathroom next to the tub there was a hole in the floor that was covered with a runner. When showering there was a constant change between hot and cold. Because the water heater is simply the wrong size. The toilet lid was broken. The outside area looked very littered and unkempt. We had to share it with 4 geese and a pig who just run around as they please.For tall people it can be very painful as the ceilings and doors are very low.We made the best of it but won't be coming back.

Very nicely located, nice landlords, but very unkempt atmosphere, everything seems a bit makeshift, a lot of junk, completely overpriced, therefore not recommended. It's a shame, so much could be done with it.

See beautiful rustic house. Suitable for several people and relaxed evenings. The lady of the house, very pleasant and hospitable. The man of the house is absolutely unfriendly!!!!

We had a wonderful week at Holzhaus Besler.Upon request, the dedicated hosts treated us to a delicious Allgäu breakfast and the thought of dinner (Croatian cevape with red rice and salad) made our mouths water.In the afternoon the children were able to pet the cats 🐈⬛, visit the donkey 🫏, jump on the trampoline to their heart's content and feed Vladimir the pet pig 🐽.We used the time to thoroughly enjoy the panorama ⛰️ and the silence in the garden after our mountain tour.Suza shared her knowledge of herbs with us and we were allowed to serve to our hearts' content in her garden 🪴 (rosemary, basil, chives, etc.).You could only feel good around the campfire with Suza and Alex. The children loved wrapping Suza's homemade bread around the stick and roasting it with sausages in the fire.We were all thrilled by the heat that the wood stove gave off and warmed us up through and through.I can only recommend this accommodation.Pure nature, lots of love and family connection included.We would love to come back 🫶

Hello, I have been there several times, family and friends have always received a warm welcome, a great starting point for various activities (e.g. clearing the hard drive) and very friendly hosts and I will always be happy to come by.

Anyone who wants to experience a holiday outside the norm is in good hands there. Hospitality coupled with a lot of love for people, animals and nature can be found there.In my opinion, this stay is very sustainable and encourages you to look at the world a little more peacefully. Thank you 🙏

Top location and therefore a good starting point for many different hikes BUT poor price-performance ratio!- very simple or rudimentary and partly makeshift interior design (especially kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms), cozy common room.- It is advisable to make sure you have enough toilet paper and dishwasher tabs or detergent in advance- Contact/inquiries with the landlords living in the same house are easy 👍🏻Conclusion: We had a very nice weekend, but we would have hoped for a little more for the price, which is untypically charged per person!

A beautifully maintained house, located in Hinterstein in Oberallgäu. We were welcomed with a delicious punch and were able to enjoy an excellent three-course menu. The guest room was tastefully furnished and the table was elegantly set.The innkeepers were extremely nice, accommodating and offered outstanding service. We can fully recommend this house. In fact, a festival there is a real experience.

Owner not really friendly. Registered as a JGA you didn't feel welcome. Facilities in the barn are pretty bad... Stairs to the bedroom are extremely steep. Basically no place to stay when it rains. Wouldn't come again.

Great house with charm and history, of course not the luxury comfort but if you're not looking for that you'll have a great time here. There is also an oven, which is not mentioned on the website. Relaxed landlord, great location, what more could you want.

So in itself a wonderful atmosphere. Unfortunately, the equipment isn't entirely comfortable... If you're happy with a little, that's okay. The landlords are very friendly and accommodating, and there is also a pet pig.
