We were there in the caravan for 3 nights. The staff, the fellow campers and the location itself left nothing to be desired.Unfortunately, our overall impression was significantly clouded by the sanitary situation. If I replaced a dilapidated washhouse with shower/toilet containers, they should also work, which unfortunately wasn't the case. In the washhouse on the other side, a lot of effort has been put into the renovation (at least the showers), but unfortunately they have installed shower heads that flood the entire building. It's a shame that this unfortunately important point significantly clouds the overall impression.

Update: camping has improved enormously. The price has been adjusted. A distinction is now made between large and small tents. The sanitary facilities have also been renovated. The reception looks better now. Neat and businesslike/hospitable. The food was also good. Management had everything on track.Old review: Camping is too expensive. You can stay cheaper in the area and the sanitary facilities are not so outdated. The suspension in the two showers with a separate shower head was defective and in the one with a fixed head hardly any water came out. €20 for 1 person with a tent is really too expensive. Breakfast was also arranged, but from now on we will go to the bakery again because €17 for 2 sandwiches is quite expensive. The other catering establishments were normally priced. The manager of the restaurant was also very friendly. So I'll think twice if I ever come here again.

I got this recommendation quite spontaneously from a good friend. I was with you for four days with my roof tent. I had a wonderful time and enjoyed the beautiful nature. I can only recommend it to everyone, a really nice team, very human, incredibly friendly and everything around it is very pleasant. And if you love nature, this is the right place for you. I found it particularly nice that children also get their money's worth here, as do the older people. I really had a good time. All questions were answered immediately and what particularly struck me was that everything was very clean, both in nature and in the sanitary facilities. 😉

A great campsite, unfortunately we were only there for two nights but it was nice. The lake is really great, there are plenty of sunbathing areas around it and it's also really dog-friendly. We will definitely come back, even though the price is already well in the upper third of the campsites.

This is my first time visiting the Humboldtsee campsite. My parking space on the edge of the forest is beautifully located and correspondingly quiet, which is important to me personally. Unfortunately, and I also complained about this at the other campsites, there is little Wi-Fi radius. Yes, of course, you're here on holiday after all and don't want to be available 24/7, but it would still be nice if you could expand the WiFi network so that you could watch a film or series on your tablet in the evening. The Humboldtsee is super beautiful, very idyllic and there is plenty of lawn and play space for the children. A lot of emphasis is placed on keeping the night's rest from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. and I really appreciate that. The sanitary facilities are also all clean. I haven't eaten on site yet - so I can't give a review here. What I may still have to add is finding the parking space. Although you are given a map of the site and briefly explained how to get to the site, I still had a bit of difficulty finding my way around the parking space system. There is some signage, but it's still a bit confusing. I think it would be nice if the employees could take the time to give you an introduction to the place.
