Pension zur Alten Schmiede

I just spent a night here and really enjoyed it. The furniture in my room was older, but everything was sparkling clean and the bed was great.The whole courtyard is totally cozy and the owner is incredibly friendly and helpful. I would like to come back.

The hosts were warm and helpful, the property is delightful, and the apartment cosy and well equipped, with everything one might need. Shops and restaurants are nearby. Worked extremely well for three of us with bicycles on the Berlin-Copenhagen route. Thank you!!

Very nice guesthouse with rooms and holiday apartments. Nice and attentive landlords. Accommodations are clean and have very good facilities for the price category.The entire area is lovingly and comfortably designed.

We were participants in the Mecklenburg Lakes Tour and chose this guesthouse. Some rooms have kitchens, but we were one of the guests who had use of a shared kitchen. Everything was generously designed here, coffee machines, lots of cooling options, stove, dishwasher, etc. plus some dining tables in a quiet atmosphere. The nearest supermarket was 2 minutes away on foot. So everything you need is there.There's not much to say about the rooms, everything you need was there too. Bed, WiFi, TV. and the hosts always have an open ear! If nothing stands in the way of taking part in next year's event, we will be happy to come back!Kind regards, Menge family

We have been to this beautiful guesthouse several times. The manager is very friendly and we are always very satisfied. The location is also wonderful. We'd love to come back! (Formerly as a couple, now as a family)

I want to go back! Very rustic and beautiful guesthouse in a great location. The owners, Ms. Engel, were very warm and accommodating - I immediately felt at home.Definitely recommended.

We are very happy with the accommodation. This was nicely furnished, with everything you could need. The hostess was very nice and very helpful with every request. The garden is also very beautifully designed with the large seating area

Not recommended with dogs!We booked for 5 nights. It was discussed over the phone that two dogs would come with us. We were told that if they weren't bigger than a German Shepherd, it would be fine. It was a Labrador (naturally, a little smaller than typical) & a mixed breed Border Collie.We were all very happy to have survived the long car journey safely.When we opened the trunk of the car to clear out our things, the Labrador looked out very curiously & there was a -ooohh, but he's really big!We were welcomed with self-picked 🍒 cherries, which we thought was great 😊We were then shown the rest of the guesthouse, which seemed very comfortable.With the next hint that we would find a vacuum cleaner there and could certainly use it in the next few days.After we had stretched our legs after the long car ride, we were told that the guesthouse was fully booked tomorrow and that one of the guests had a dog allergy and that the other guests were not positive about dogs. We should leash you in the courtyard.For us it was one of the main reasons to vacation in this guesthouse.Especially since the inner courtyard is very cozy and designed with small, lovingly details.When a guest came towards us, we called the dogs over. They either stayed lying down and then the reaction was 'no problem, I used to have a dog myself or I love dogs'.Our dogs did NOT bark, mark anything or break anything.We realized pretty quickly that our dogs weren't "welcome" 😕The guesthouse is very clean👍🏽, is close to the harbor 🚣‍♂️ & shopping opportunities and sights are within easy walking distance 👣 🙂.We were self-sufficient. One day we wanted to make a casserole and they lent us the private casserole dish. Which we found very nice🤗.Unfortunately, we were only able to partially recover because the tension kept coming up because of the dogs.Unfortunately, that had the effect of being awake at 5 a.m. in the morning.We would have appreciated it if this had been communicated to us earlier (on the phone).Now our vacation is over & unfortunately not completely relaxed 😔Despite the presence of a sauna...Therefore we can only give 3 ⭐⭐⭐ out of 5.

Great accommodation, cozy facility, nice service, we will definitely be back.
