I stayed here once in 2011 and again in 2024. It's a great little hotel. Comfortable rooms, very kind staff, and a delicious breakfast. It's also in a very nice, central location.

It would be well worth driving out of your way to eat at the Hotel restaurant, the DeHam. In the 14 days we spent in Germany and France, it was by far the best meal. In my over 40 years as a professional traveler, the dinner was a rival to any in the world. The hotel room was spacious, quiet, and accommodating. Put this family operated hotel on your bucket list.

Very friendly and very clean. For the price, no complaints. Small issue that my room was a bit cold when I arrived and I couldn't get the radiator to work, but this resolved itself.

This is a lovely quaint hotel. The woman who welcomed us was wonderful. She spoke English and had lots of information for places to eat and shop. The room was quite large with a sitting area. …

My traveling companion had stayed at the Rosenhotel previously and had made friends with the owners and staff on a previous occasion. He was determined to bring me here, even though it was off our planned path.  …

The staff was friendly and helpful. My first room, #105 was small, with a window to the street. When the bathroom ventilation didn't work, I asked for assistance. I was given another room, #101, with a bathroom window and twice as much space, facing the back courtyard, a drive through area. Good WLAN. People smoked below my window and there was considerable traffic in the courtyard at certain times. The views in both rooms were of rather close walls or apartments. Two minutes from Alexanderplatz and the pedestrian zone, which leads to the canal and very pleasant tree-shaded paved paths along the canal. I borrowed a rather small but functioning bike from the hotel to explore. I visited July 8-12. Almost everyone wore masks at all times in the quite small lobby and breakfast room. The tables were not 1.5 meters apart, and the serving tools at the buffet were used by everyone, without gloves. (Hand disinfectant was available in the lobby.) The breakfast room was completely full on Sunday morning. I think I should have been warned to come at a time when social distancing would have been possible, or have breakfast in my room.

The Rosenhotel was our first stop for a week's visit to several cities. A reflection on all the hotels, has us being most appreciative of this hotel. We were greeted and treated as old friends or family.  …

Relatively new owners trying to fix up an old Hotel after a long time of neglect. Some rooms are renovated some are not. It's a chance You take.Normally You need to have your stuff together before You commit to buying. To insure that Your guests are getting what You charge them for.Because people that work hard for their money don't want to hear excuses or have sympathy for The problems of the owners.Because they have their own. They are paying You for a room. You are taking their money and additionally want their sympathy for not giving them their moneys worth.Terrible.Won't stay here again.
