Gasthaus Engel offers a culinary experience that we won't soon forget. As soon as we arrived we were warmly greeted by the owner, which created a very welcoming atmosphere. A special surprise was the starter and dessert that were served to us on the house as a nice gesture, a truly generous gift. The quality of the food was consistently excellent. Each dish was prepared with great attention to detail and the ingredients were fresh and of high quality. My entire family was thrilled by the delicious dishes, which were both tasty and visually impressive.A small downer, however, was that card payment was not possible. Nowadays, this option is expected almost everywhere.Overall, our visit to the Gasthaus Engel was a very positive experience that we would happily recommend. The friendly atmosphere and excellent cuisine make this inn a real insider tip.

Had lunch today at the “Zum Engel” restaurant and what can I say, it was an absolute pleasure.Welcome with a delicious starter plate (on the house). The main courses were ALL super tasty. As a vegetarian, I also received a selection from the chef, which was excellent.Portions are large and well seasoned.Dessert was also on the house.Staff very accommodating and friendly. The boss personally greeted and said goodbye to us with a handshake.Big recommendationWe'll definitely be back 😀

We stayed there for two days. The rooms and beds were good. We were able to sleep restfully. The breakfast took some getting used to, just simple rolls, a boiled egg, and a cheese plate with a little sausage.I found it rude that the serviceman's cell phone was switched on while the music was playing in the breakfast room, very loud messages arrived several times and the music on the cell phone was also being played very loudly. After I asked nicely whether it could be turned down, the face was grimaced, but then turned out.The surprise came on Sundays - the bakers weren't open, so we had flatbread with caraway seeds instead of bread or rolls - well, if you like it - I certainly don't.The most negative thing, however, was that the double room was not billed like a double room, but we had to pay the room price per person. Simply outrageous. But it was educational - never book a room on the phone again.

Friendly welcome, good selection of food. Definitely something for everyone. But you should seek advice, some dishes are well seasoned. A starter plate with various dips and freshly prepared flatbread is on the house. Will definitely come back.
