Amazing place. Everyone is friendly and kind. The staff comes and check up on you and to see if everything is okay and how they can help if something is wrong. Excellent pricing. There is no cell service but they provide excellent WiFi to where you stay. 10/10 would recommend. Thank you Camping Donnersberg family for making our hiking/camping trip so easy and comfortable

Great place to bring my 2.5 year old daughter and wife. Playground, swimming pool, swimming lake, clean facilities, and friendly to tent and vehicle campers alike. All other campers were very friendly and it felt like one big family, with everyone's children playing together, and all adults participating in keeping an eye on the kids. Wonderful social/cultural atmosphere!

Very dessapointed with camping, we expected this to be our rest day, we arrived tired from the whole morning driving, we hadn't had anything to eat, we arrived at 13:05, to find no one in reception. We went to the back where aperently they had somewhere to eat. We were then informed(very abruptly, after we asked for only one night) that we had to wait an hour before someone could let us in, not even waiting inside. Food only served on the evening(not entirely convince that was so) the camping was not busy, it was not high season, and we felt like we were not welcomed at all. They could let us in, settle down, drink water and then come and pay later.😔 We will definitely let all our camper friends know about this place, to not to stay with them. Rethink how you people do business, a little bit of hospitality goes a long way.

Really nice place with friendly staff. Only three points because the showers are kind of cold. Might be okay in the summer but right now with 13-16 degrees it’s too cold. I asked if they could turn it a little hotter but they didn’t.

The camping ground is really nice and the staff was really friendly and helpful. You may hike directly from the grounds and there are some leisure activities by the park. The pond is partly shallow so it is nice for children or dogs, but large and deep enough for a small swim or some minor paddling. However, there are blackflys (Kriebelmücken). They scratch the skin open and with the pond water, a nasty infection is guaranteed. There are also asian tiger mosquitos, which are known to transmit various diseases. The camping ground should take actions against this like fishes in the pond or some other pest control. Also, there was no light in some showers and the sinks had been clogged up, so that water piled up and ran into adjacent showers. But the toilets had been very clean, paper was always available and especially the desinfectant dispensers in the toilets and at the entrances were always filled.Biggest downdraft however, is that there is close no cellular coverage and one either has to hike a bit up the hills out of the campsite and thus the valley, or buy a vastly overcharged WiFi voucher (6 nights, 3GiB at close to 18€) at the check in, provided by an adjacent pc and communications reseller. Nothing of this is mentioned on the homepage, not even the WiFi tarrifs. This sadly connects to the backwoods progresses in German digitization attempts. While one may freely decide for his own to digital detox, this may be an issue for people that need to stay in contact with family members or do have a job, where they have to be at least reachable even in vacation. Telecommunications providrs would have an interest on covering such a place and wit masts available in the vicinity it suld not be hard for the camping grounds management to connect with the network providers or to provide reasonable networking service in the valley.

Have been here for 1 evening on the way back from further into Germany, was so great in the evening by the campfire that we went back the year after, not so cheap though... (Talking about the food in the local restaurant and the prices to stay) but overall great camping place. Awesome opportunities to go hiking in the beautifull nature of Germany. Village near has good supermarkets with local bakeries. Also, fun fact, the biggest windmill in Europe stands just a 15min walk away.10/10 would go camping here again

Great place for landrover owners, people with dogs, or people who just love to be outdoors. One of the great things about this place is that there is just no mobile connection and because of that you don't have the urge to start working, and its also for teenagers very relaxingbthat you don't have to react to every beep, because there are simply no beeps.Would i go here again?Yes definitely because the prices are relatively low and there is a great outdoorstore and the campsite which sells knives, pants, jackets and some more. You should really go and get a look at itThe roads are perfect in the area, so its easy to reach by car, bicycle or even by foot.Hope to see you there,Ottojan Splinter
