We were very impressed by the overall furnishings, the different rooms with different themes (white room; maritime room; Asian room... - with original antique furniture) and the wonderful living room with fireplace, stucco ceiling and antique dining room. The large bathroom, the shower room and the extra toilet - pure luxury for larger groups. The garden with sun loungers and the barn with bric-a-brac/flea market offerings, bicycles to rent for every need, plus tips from the host about excursion destinations and restaurants - simply perfect.Everything was framed by the East Frisian landscape, dikes and the opportunity to let your gaze wander into infinity. The Netherlands can be reached quickly and offers many interesting experiences!Highly recommended for stays and vacations for small and large families/groups!

We didn't see anything from the holiday farm. A flea market is regularly held there on Saturdays and Sundays with really old building materials such as Delft tiles and much more. Indispensable for the fan. To be fair, it has to be said that the building is currently undergoing some renovations. A so-called Slinger Tuin (old Dutch garden) can still be glimpsed, but it also needs to be renovated.

Very nice quiet place! Lovingly designed rooms! Shower/bathtub! Kitchen! Beautiful terrace in front of the house! Bicycles can be rented on request! Nice vision! Shop in town 5 minutes. removed! Beautiful bike tours possible! Went there again and rented the manor house. Were nine people, 4 bedrooms lovingly designed. Beautiful and spacious bathroom with an xxl tub and shower and an extra shower in the adjacent area on the first floor. Washing machine and dryer available. In the lower part there is a large dining area with a long table and lots of antique furniture. Large living area with fireplace. Small functional kitchen. Nice terrace and a huge garden/park. For children trampoline, table tennis, swing. Lots of sun or shade to relax. We were very satisfied!

We spent a week at the Johannes-Hof. This is an old farmhouse, which is adjacent to a barn (junk hall). There are several apartments (probably 4) in the complex. The outside area is HUGE. There is plenty of seating everywhere. There is a barbecue area (barbecues, however, with rusty grilles) and a trampoline (XXL, well secured), as well as a swing attached to the tree. The lawn is well maintained. Our apartment was very modernly furnished, but with the charm of a farmhouse: in some places there are beams that are only about 1.80m high. Therefore, ducking is sometimes necessary. In addition, the wooden floor “creaks” very strongly. The kitchen facilities were perfect. Everything was very clean. The bathroom is new. Unfortunately, it wasn't clear to us from the description and photos that the third bedroom is completely open and above the kitchen (the hum of the refrigerator can be heard every now and then). There were therefore only two separate “closed” bedrooms. The stairs to the third bedroom are not secured and are very steep. Since we had two two-year-old children with us, this wasn't ideal. There are knee-deep windows everywhere that cannot be locked. Therefore, there are unfortunately some dangers lurking for small children that should be taken into account. An important note: Due to the many bodies of water and ditches, there are countless mosquitoes. Unfortunately, the windows do not have a protective grille, so you should have mosquito lamps, sprays, etc. with you!About the location: The place has a small, cute supermarket. This sets the place apart from the other villages. However, the place is very small. There is no walking route or similar, no playground nearby. You have to travel a few km by bike or car to experience something (Ditzum, Leer, Emden). Unfortunately, the sea is a complete nature reserve, the nearest sandy beach is about 50 minutes away (Knock near Emden or the Netherlands). We actually underestimated that before. The Friesenbad in Weener is great! In one week, however, all the “attractions” were covered within a 45-minute drive. We will therefore not be traveling to the region again in the near future. If you haven't been there yet, the trip is worth it!The host can be reached at any time (via WA, responds very quickly). There is a small drinks fridge in the hallway. The communication was very good. Keys (unfortunately no spare key) are available in a safe.Overall, a recommendation with small limitations, especially if you are traveling with small children who are already “mobile”.

So I or (we) 7x adults and 3x children had a lot of space with our host, who was always ready for a nice conversation or if you just needed something, was always there... everything was *TOP*, nice and big Room, there is a flea market in the back barn, on request the owner will open it and you can go shopping 🤭😉WiFi is also availableThe location of the Johanneshof is perfect for switching off and relaxing. Just enjoy the peace and quiet and just watch the geese fly over 😊We all reached the excursion destinations we had planned... whether Emden, Wilhelmshaven from the OTTO lighthouse and much more.If you want to go to the Netherlands, you can get there in 15-20 minutes. What else can you say 🤭Go there yourself and enjoy your vacation and see for yourself..This farm is saved with us.We just say THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU 👫,🙋‍♀️,👨‍👩‍👧,👨‍👩‍👧‍👦
