We had flammkuchen, which were tasty. The wine list is small and fairly pricey, but good quality. Service is decent for Germany. I wanted to return but they are closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Tourist trap. Absolute disappointment. Only sounded good on paper. These are the three points that came to mind when we had our meal here. Most of the food was dry and unflavorful. If you think it's not possible to dry braised meat, they succeeded here. We had the slow cooked lamb and it was dry as hay. The oven-cooked vegetables was dry as a desert that the beetroot was seeing mirages of itself. Risotto was undercooked and hard. Sage polenta should have been called salted polenta. . . actually, let me rephrase, should have just been called salt: couldn't taste the polenta or sage, just salt. In its entirety, every single dish showed lack of care from the cooks that prepared it.Portion sizes and the quality of food was inconsistent with the price you pay. We ate our food because we are not the type of people to send food back to the kitchen or leave without paying for it. We shall never return. The cooks have no respect for the ingredients; as evidenced by the way the meal was cooked and prepared. This experience is guaranteed here: come hungry and excited, leave hungry and disappointed with a hole in your wallet.

As someone unfamiliar with the area, we followed the signs to the inn during a Sunday trip and stopped at the "Green Tree", a little surprised that the parking lot was almost empty and the very beautiful beer garden was so sparsely occupied at lunchtime in the sunshine. The menu promised creative dishes. My partner chose the schnitzel in sesame breading, I chose the mushroom burger. The dishes were served on dessert plates, otherwise the two pieces of schnitzel and the tiny bagel burger would have been lost on the plate. Apart from a few rocket leaves with the schnitzel, there was no side dish. The beer garden is really nice and we enjoyed the little snack bar, so one star for the ambience and one for the chef.Unfortunately there's nothing more - in keeping with the appetizers that were served to us as main courses at exorbitant prices, followed by the question as we cleared away whether we'd had enough...
