Really good stay, staff were amazing and slept well. Highly recommend this hotel if you have to work in the area or are visiting family. Convenient for trips to London, as the train station is across the road, will definitely book here again.

Great place to stay if you’re in the area! My dad books here at least once a month when visiting us. ||The rooms are very clean and Jo and her team are always very welcoming and accommodating. ||There are great views of the park from the reception too. Highly recommend.

Website is misleading/falsely advertises air conditioning present in rooms. Took this up with the manager and was told if the public areas are airconditioned the hotel may be classified as having air conditioning. …

Unfortunately the sockets and phone chargers either side of the bed did not work, toilet flush not working correctly and the shower liquid soap dispenser did not work at all. Other than that it was OK. …

The room was clean & tidy all we needed for our short stay. My only gripe was the loo is compact, and for a large person, I find it too small. Had to go to the disabled toilets by reception. The breakfast was great 👍

The room is spacious and clean. There's no air conditioning but they provide a small fan. The bathroom is tiny. There is no room between the toilet, sink and wall...not great if you're plus size. The staff are friendly and polite. The food - Dinner was good, I had the Chicken Tikka Masala. Really flavourful, nice portion of brilliantly cooked rice. I have no complaints about dinner. The breakfast however 🤢 the scrambled eggs were over salted, and the hash browns resembled floury soggy cardboard. The croissants are made from brioche so they start to go hard after being out in the air for hours. Honestly save your money and go to the local Wetherspoons or greasy café because it isn't worth paying for all you can eat when the food is barely appetising.

Travelled to Redhill Travel lodge for a wedding. At first they were accommodating as our train was delayed, so they extended my check in time. Upon futher reflection this extension wasn't granted by the hotel reception as no one answered the phone after 10 minutes of constant ringing, but rather I had to email the Travel Lodge Company customers service. Red flag one.Read Flag number 2 was just how empty the hotel was, I think I saw 5 other guests and 2 of them were going to the same wedding. So the hotel may be quiet, but in the same way a graveyard is - you don't want to be in there too long!Red flag three was the day reception staff, whom after replacing our faulty hotel room cards TWICE, decided to change the batteries in the card reader, without having any batteries upon their person (which after telling us this happens all the time, you'd assume to keep some on your pocket) when this didn't work, my partner and I were informed that maybe they could make us new cards when the "man who does that" gets here, but for now if we needed to enter or leave our room, to ask reception to let us in! This didn't fill me with joy for two reasons:1) After the 2nd time returning to reception with the faulty cards the receptionist was in the back kitchen area chatting with their friend/colleague, when I finally had to raise my voice for attention (no bell, no buzzer) they came out without an apology and actually served a guest waiting at the bar before helping me, even though that guest insisted the receptionist help me, he was told "no its not that important"Prehaps the receptionist could have asked their colleague to help with the "not important" task of a PROVIDING ACCESS TO THE ROOM I'D RENTED AT THE STEEP WEEKEND PRICE instead of making a cup of tea.The second reason why having to ask reception to let us out of room didn't fill me with confidence or joy was because what kind of hotel locks you out of your room and doesn't offer a new room, a reduced rate or refund? After returning from the wedding in the evening and being granted access to my hotel room, myself and my partner ventured downstairs to the dining area to partake of the unlimited breakfast option I'd paid extra for. This was incredibly disappointing, as not were the "unlimited" choices very lack lustre (luke warm sausage, undercooked bacon, lukewarm beans, soggy and wilted fruit salad and cold pancakes) we were also informed that without a key card we couldn't just walk into the hotel and eat breakfast. After I informed the rude member of staff of the inability of their team to fix this mistake I was greater with a "well I guess you can eat then"I'd also paid extra for the late check out option but decided against staying any longer after 10.25am because of the insult of the breakfast and the fact that we'd have to ask a non existent receptionist to maybe let me into the room I'd paid for if she wasn't too busy not taking calls or putting others ahead of a guest in need.Inefficient, ineffective and insulting frankly. I'll not be returning to Redhill Travel lodge again and I doubt I'll use a Travel Lodge in future at all if this is an example of how they run their "hotels"
