This hotel and spa it in a lovely part of the world, surrounded by countryside and amazing views from reception and the restaurant. The rooms are amazing spacious and comfortable with a huge bathroom that has a separate bath and shower cubicle. Unfortunately the view from out window was not the best and there is no air conditioning just a fanWe were staying dinner, bed and breakfast this came with a reduced dinner menu all the items were cook and prepared to a very high standard and we both agreed everything was very tasty one small criticism the service was a little rushed very little time between courses

Quite a nice hotel. I had a large twin room with large bathroom. Food was good and bar prices OK. Friendly staff and Vicky in the restaurant was great. The golf course was tough and at weekends very busy, hence slow play. Hayley in the golf shop was great.

We stayed for a weekend golf stay with three rounds included. I'll start with the negatives first, three members of our group had their vans broken into on the first day while we were out on the course and as you aren't able to check in until 3pm they had all of their clothes stolen, the thieves didn't touch any of the cars, just the vans so if I was staying here and parking my van overnight I would be very worried. Second, the 20% discount that you receive with a golf booking doesn't kick in until you have checked in and they cancel it as soon as you have checked out which means no discount for your post round drink and food after the final round. Third, they charge an additional £20 per day for access to the spa, I've been on lots of golf weekends and I have never had to pay this before. Fourth, the course needs to be cared for better. Some of the rough was far too deep in places and the amount of grass left on the course after being cut was enormous. It was impossible to find your ball sometimes under all the hay.The positives are that the food was very good, the staff were very pleasant and the rooms we had were fine for our needs. The course is also quite a nice layout however, some of the fairways are very close to each other and a few tee boxes are behind the previous green. I was almost decapitated by a thinned wedge while I was waiting to tee off.Ultimately we won't be back. We've been to better venues for the same price and had a better experience (and not been robbed) but if they could sort the few issues that I've mentioned this could be a really good place.

This is my second stay at Hellidon with business, both times my rooms have been lovely. The views are stunning and the facilities are great! All staff are very welcoming. I was sat by myself at breakfast and had a wonderful welcome and chat with Vicky who was looking after guests at breakfast. She is golden!

We recently stayed here and had a great time. Highlight was Vicky and the service at meal times, very attentive and professional. Rooms were great as were the meeting rooms. We had a difficulty with the projector and all was sorted very quickly. Thank you.

We had a great stay at Hellidon Lakes Hotel. The rooms are reasonably large & clean. TV, Wi-Fi & tea & coffee making facilities. People in the group were really impressed with the evening meal. The food & service were excellent. Breakfast was buffet style. The golf course was quirky, challenging & tough. The greens were slow on the days we played. Even low handicap players found it a difficult course.
