Dreadful experience being turned away because I showed up "too late to check in". My flight was delayed and check in ends at 3pm. I was left with nowhere to sleep that night and had to book a hotel an hour away. The check in attendant was rude and the staff I called on the phone didn't try to understand or fix my situation. At one point when I was pleading my case over the intercom the staff member said "You are not audible" and hung up on me.This was a notably bad experience, given that most hostels will allow you to check in late and the staff in other places don't take as much joy from making people cry as these. Maybe it was in the terms and conditions but who reads those!? All I wanted was a place to sleep. If you are going to be checking in late, don't stay here. If you're checking in on time, don't stay here either. Don't come here. Don't do it!!!

Currently undergoing some refurbishment, although this didn't impact my stay at all. The bed was ⭐very comfortable⭐ and bedding was clean and also comfortable. Excellent power shower, and bathrooms are clean and tidy. There is some outside noise during the day and evening, due to the nearby pub/ restaurant. However, it is very quiet at night. The staff ensure the hostel is secure, with a intercom system to allow entry. Both staff were friendly and helpful... and I actually had a room to myself, which was a bonus 😊Thank you Harbourside!

The location is good as its not far from a lot of the good places in the centre. The gentleman who served us was friendly and helpful. The room was very basic with 2 single beds in that was reminiscent of a prison cell.. and for 2 of us to stay there was £50 each for the night which was only £40 more than the double tree Halton was charging so I would say to go with a hotel if there's a couple of you.It was a Saturday night so it was fairly noisy at night .I wouldn't stay here again..

Paid £50 for a 2-bed mixed dorm but charged another £5 to leave my bag in storage for 2 hours. Bed sheets had clearly not been changed from the previous guest as I found someone’s bag underneath my duvet. Mattress and pillow was extremely uncomfortable. Woken up at 4am by a member of staff coming in to crash on the bed next to me. Absolutely no care at all for my own nights sleep, turned on the lights as he noisily walked in, continued to make loud noise, shouted over to me asking if I’d see. his vape charger, was watching videos on his phone with loud volume, vaping like a train (which is literally against T&C’s) and filling the room with a disgusting smell only made worse by his continuous loud farting. All of this while I, a paying guest, am visibly trying to get to sleep right across from him. Not a single care given. I repeat this was a member of staff. Worst experience I have ever had in a hostel, I ended up getting 3 hours sleep before I had to start work in the morning.

This is a great location for a hostel. However the staff are unbelievably rude and look for any excuse to take you deposit away. If you leave any rubbish inside the room you will loose your deposit. In our case they take the entire full room deposit £80. Seems like a money making scam to me, shaking down travellers of their money. Ruined our trip to Bristol. Avoid at all cost!

The only good thing about this backpackers is it's location and that's it. The staff are obnoxious towards the people who wish to stay there and they are the rudest people known to mankind and the staff constantly has a severe attitude …

I stayed here in a one person room for two nights in June 2024. It is basic but I found it clean. …

Quite expensive for basic amenities. Additionally, have to pay £20 deposit in cash - if pay in card, have to give extra £2 which is not refundable! Staff at reception was quite rude too. I’ll never come back to this hostel again!

I stayed for a night and my classmate stayed there for a week.So based on that I can say that their policy is designed to extract money from ther customers and their staff are extremely arrogant. They charge your 5 GBP daily for keeping your luggage and I guess most places in Bristol dont do that for eg. Full Moon and Back packers. There is no kitchen and you cant have any food and drinks in your room. How regressive!! It is beacuse they own a restaurant just beside the hostel and they want their guests to buy food from them. They give you a very little quantity of food at a very high price. My advice to them would be do good and healthy bussiness and not extract money from customers via unscrupulous ways.

Stiff and small beds, too thick duvet, noises from doors and traffic around, bad smell, small rooms, the pictures on site look better than reality. The prices especially in weekend too high for the value.Rude Receptionist if you complain something bad!!
