My stay at this hotel was absolutely appalling. From the moment I walked in, I was met with a shabby, outdated atmosphere that felt more like a relic of the 1960s than a modern establishment. The room itself was in terrible condition—cramped, poorly lit, and in desperate need of renovation. The bathroom was downright disgusting; the sinks were clogged, the tiles were stained, and the overall hygiene was questionable at best. To make matters worse, the pillows were thin and uncomfortable, making it impossible to get a decent night’s sleep.Adding to the misery, loud music played late into the night, well past midnight, ensuring that any hope of rest was dashed. The broken windows and dilapidated decor only added to the sense that this place is long past its prime and in dire need of either a complete overhaul or to be knocked down and rebuilt from scratch. The one saving grace was the receptionist, who was kind and helpful. Unfortunately, even her pleasant demeanor couldn’t make up for the horrendous state of the hotel. If it were possible to give zero stars, I wouldn’t hesitate. This was, without a doubt, the worst hotel experience I have ever had. I strongly advise anyone considering a stay here to look elsewhere.

Don’t be fooled by the lovely pictures!!! This place is disgusting! Tiny cupboard like rooms with a dirty bed wedged in it with yellowing towels on top. This place is a scam!! Lure you in with nice pics of spacious luxury rooms…then when you check in they send you to a rancid hovel that I wouldn’t leave a dog in. As for the loud Muslim music coming from across the corridor…I can only imagine it’s being used to cover over the sound of rodents…or at least I presume it’s rats that are l producing the funky smell. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS DIVE. Oh and what a surprise…no refund. And don’t think of doing a runner as they take copies of your ID and passport when you arrive!!

These guys have nailed the “themed” hotel perfectly. The decor and furnishing perfectly recreate the post tsunami trauma refuge experience. …

Rooms were spacious but not clean. I was charged more than what I was supposed to be charged, so I had to ring them every day to make sure I got my refund. The rooms were very warm, and they had no AC. I did get a fan, and this made it easier and cooler for me and the kids. Overall, stay was comfortable.

Not clean rooms. No AC. Loud music from events until past midnight. Was meant to pay £50 for one night and then asked me for a deposit which is not mentioned anywhere on the website. My key heard stopped working multiple times and I had to go back to reception to get it fixed which was an inconvenience. Hair from the previous customer in the shower. I paid no deposit for 3 days and all of a sudden they want to charge me one on my fourth day stay. Avoid Baylis hotel.

Tv is Netflix and amazon only that requires you to sign in to your own accounts, with no freeview and if like me you have your own fire stick there is no Internet without a password. But the room was clean and well maintained, parking was good and at night the large entrance gates were closed so not access for potential van thieves, so good

Baylis Hotel is great location IF you are attending a wedding next door like us. Rooms tend to be small, basic & simple but it is sufficient for a very short stay. …

We stayed here as we were attending an event at the same venue. Our room was awful. A stench of stale cigarette smoke throughout the room and corridor. There was black mold all on the bathroom ceiling, and the room was quite unclean. …
