Very hard to say what I liked about the hotel, probably the cost of the stay.. and the lad at reception offered my wife to go and see the rooms before we paid as we could not have a refund once we paid, we agreed to stay because it was Sunday afternoon in Blackpool at 3pm and all other accomodations were fully booked or triple the price, cannot argue with price at all however , health & safety needs to pay a visit.Poor conditions , had to call and wake up the reception staff to open downstairs so we could check out at 10am as it was all locked up , broken radiator at top of landing right opposite the room door making it so hot in the room went downstairs to see if I could find a staff member and there was nobody there at all I even asked another customer who was outside if she worked there , she told me to knock on the private door, I knocked on every private door in the hotel and nobody answered me , there were electrical cables on show in the shower , and could see where it came from shower around skirting board and into the bedroom under the door and back up the architriving, the beds were uncomfortable I could feel every spring in the mattress , no mattress protectors.there was a kettle but had to plug it in on the other side on the room to make a drink, went for a walk in the early evening to go and get some food and we were immediately faced by 3 drunk men drinking cans of Carling , smoking and swearing sitting right by the exit which is not ideal when you have a 6 year old.

Booked for a night for a night with my daughter and 5 year old grandsonGot there about 11.30, parked the car there no issues with that and the cost, was told when we check in can inspect the room firstDidn’t come back till 8.30pm and due to the time was not going to look for other accommodation, so said no need to inspect the room ( they said may charge £50 room deposit so how bad could it be right?)Omg, never seen anything like it, verticals missing from the windows, no tele, a kettle but nothing there to make a drink inBut the worst of it was the beds, stains all over the covers, the bases were all brown, my grandson pulled the covers back and the valance had all brown stains on, and I can see from the website that they say cleanliness is priority! My daughter came out in a bad rash after only being in there for like 15 mins we decided that even though we had left to go at 7 that morning we could not stay so didn’t even in pack loaded the carMy daughter went to reception and took the key back and said none refundable ask we didn’t want to lookNot bring funny but if you walked in and seen the room only you would not walk away just because there’s no kettle or cups to make a drink, but who would think to check inside the bed covers before you decide to stay or not, you just wouldn’t think you would have toThese sheets were never clean and still in from whoever was in before, this should be reported to trading standards or something, so we decided to drive all the way home again that night as didn’t refund the money back so didn’t want to pay againBest part of the hotel was the parkingStay well away, even though this is cheap, it’s dam right disgusting to expect customers to stay in a room with old sheets on because it’s cheap and then not refund your money

Upon arrival and seeing the main entrance door covered in moss. I just thought NO. So we decided to leave our bags in the car to inspect first. After entering we was hit with a warm smoke/ashey smell. Something u smell in an airport smoking room. The man looked at me and knew that I wouldn't be impressed with the room. Although is clearly says non refundable he gave me the opportunity to go and take a look at the room. The hall way also stunk like people are smoking in there. The room door has loads of dirty finger prints on. There was a BED Sheet covering half of the window. The mattress were absolutely filthy. The floor was a mess. It was that bad we didn't even look in the bathroom. Just opened the door had a quick look and said NO. we then came back downstairs and the man refunded my money instantly and apologised. This place seemed more like a homeless hostel then a hotel. Your staff have company printed shirts on what probably cost more then a pair of curtains from b&m across the road. I wouldn't even want to park my car on the drive it's got that much moss on. £10 on parking and a £20 car wash afterwards. Would be cheaper to park on double yellows and take a £30 fine. Clearly all about the money this place. Avoid at all costs. Trust poiloit said its a fair and clean hotel. I don't know who's reported that or when it was reported but it needs reviewing. Let's see what the owners got to say about it before I publish it all over the Internet with the shocking photos to go with it.

If you want to stay somewhere clean and somewhere fresh this place isn’t it. I don’t mind cheap and nasty honestly but this place innot safe. Mold is the main concern, people are at risk of health problems due to this environment. I have. I idea how you’d get a license for somewhere like this. What they don’t mention is the £10 a night parking this should be part of the selling description. I wouldn’t take my dog there.I think if you are going to try and make money of people in this type of business you got to be clean, prioritise people’s health please. On the plus side I left at 4am just perfect.

Oh well...where do I begin... Let's start with the Staff that's about the only positive thing about it, The receptionist tried his best to solve the problems. The owner tried to change our rooms on the day of ARRIVAL despite a 2 week prebook to a room with one less bed. The room we ended up with had no TV, the arrangements of the plugs is lack luster and ridiculous, posted a video on How I did my coffee with the kettle , to short to even reach the floor ( just nail an extension cord over that bedside table fs) . There also was no hot water for the first hour of our stay. Not gonna lie we were attracted by the price of it, While it's true that you get what you pay for, it's still essential to ensure a minimum level of quality."

After reading other reviews, I feel that my own experience has been a carbon copy of what others have experienced too.The only positive feedback I can honestly give is that the male member of staff who greeted us at reception was very friendly and welcoming. However, this is the extent of the positivity in regards to our experience. In a nutshell...the building is basically falling to bits. As we walked up the stairs to our room there was an old stale smell that lurked on the landings. The rooms were very tired and worn-looking with the quality of the beds, including the pillows, duvet, matress and sheets all being fit for none other than the bin. This brings me to the first issue - My 5-year old daughter lay down on a bed and sustained a cut on her hand. A spring in the matress had burst and poked upwards through the sheets. If this had happened to me I would have been displeased, but the fact it happened to my child, It's safe to say I was beyond angry. As this was late at night and reception was closed, I decided to flip the matress only to find that there were more springs sticking out. The sleeping conditions in this room were far from acceptable.I ended up sleeping on the floor (my partner and child sleot in the single bed), however this was short-lived as at around 4am, what sounded like a large group of people below us must have come back from a night out and literally partied through the next few hours. It honestly felt as though we were in the room with them. When I raised with the same member of staff who had greeted us the night before, I was met with a half-arsed apology and no compensation for our troubles. To charge £90 for a single night in this place is beyond a joke. You can get far better for much less.

We couldn't fault the avari during our stay. The room was clean and spacious. Staff were so friendly.Great hotel for the price.Beds arnt the comfiest but again for the price and one night you can't complain. The only thing I would suggest for improvements is getting full curtains for the windows instead of just the side windows and blinds for the middle that don't work. But that's all we could say. We enjoyed our stay and would return in the future :)
