My partner and his family/friends stayed at the weekend, they had read the bad reviews about not the cleanist but thought it's just a bed for the night it will be fine. However as soon as getting home one of the party emptied his bag to find a bed bug come out of it, could not come from anywhere else as it was as soon as he opened it straight after getting home from the hotel, then I find a bed bug on my sofa which I spent almost 4k on very recently, bare in mind these 2 guests stayed in different rooms.the booker of the party left a review on booking. Com to make them aware of the bed bugs that were brought home, to then be called a liar! I do not think so!I wouldn't of minded them just saying they wasn't aware of this(which after doing some digging seeing reviews, they have been informed by previous guests, I wish these had been seen before) and that it will be investigated and treated appropriately, but no just denied it calling us liars, and what would anyone get out of that? We have asked for no refund, nothing so no reason to lie. I am very annoyed as I have a baby which could be bitten by these disgusting bed bugs(obvs iv had to fork out to get things to elimate them before I get an infestation. I am never one to complain about anything but I'm all about morals, and their reply is morally shocking and no consideration to the guest/families they could cause infestations in their own homes.

Beds were comfy, it was cheap and close to everything we wanted to be close to. However the room did feel a bit tired and dated, could’ve done with a good clean before we got there (we found a previous residents socks under the bed) shared facilities were ok, showers were nice and hot and had good water pressure.

The merlin hotel well where can I start. I am an honest reviewer and I only do these when I feel I need to. To start with it says it's wheel chair accessible that's a false advertisement to start with. I've just arrived with a broken ankle and expected to walk up the stairs! The door wouldn't lock so thers no need for keys in here as they just push open with a gentle push. The bar closes before 10 when it's ment to stay open till 11. The room is a disgrace un fit to call a room. The furniture looks like it came from an abandoned house I userally visit. You can easily get better ones from the charity shops. Thers a huge screw sticking out at eye level it's a good job the bar is not open at night to get that drunk lol. I also hope the ceeling dosnt collapse and poo stains on the walls is also a lovely site to see. Especially when I wake up to a scary looking broken boiler door with gaps big enough to fit a go pro in. I spoke to the manager and he said what's the problem. And the young lad helped stright away by spraying air fresher when we asked as it stank before we got in. But yet the manager with what should seem more experience should be more helpful instead of ARGUING WITH GUESTS ! I will not be staying in here again. It's also shared toilets what looks like they dont get clean verry often. I've attached pictures below please feel free to reply and look at my other reviews.

The staff were extremely friendly and attentive. From the warm welcome at check-in to the helpful concierge service, I felt truly valued as a guest. They went above and beyond to ensure my stay was enjoyable.

Awful, promised a refund after finding, mould, hair and dirt in the room to name a few issues. Now being told I can’t have one, cause the room was fine! Was under no illusion that I was gonna get luxury, but atleast expected a clean room and didn’t even get that. There more images and video than this! But think these say all they need to!
