The staff are friendly and the service is good. You can store your luggage before check in and check out which is very nice. The location is also very good, close to central. It's kinda safe cause going in and out needs ID card. We stayed in a 6 bed dormitory room (en-suite) which is big enough for five of us, and there is bath in the bathroom. They also provide towels in the room. But If you need hair dryer you can borrow from the reception. The bed is a bit unclean but acceptable. You need to make your bed by yourself.

Amazing hostel. Stayed for a night with my two friends. The location is close to the beach, local clubs and highstreets. Every staff member that we interacted with during our stay was so friendly and helpful and always go the extra mile. The room was clean and in great condition. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a pleasant stay in a prime location.

We stayed at this new A & O hostel as a family and were impressed with the hostel staff, rooms and breakfast. However, if you want a decent nights sleep I wouldn’t recommend this hostel - especially the top floor. …

We chose this place because, compared to other hotels during those days, the price was quite reasonable. The staff were attentive, no complaints there. But oh boy, this historic building is in dire need of some serious renovation! There’s a distinct "wet" smell that seems to have taken over the place. On our first morning, we woke up to the sound of water dripping from the ceiling. Not just a drip-drip... more like a mini waterfall right outside our door! It went on for a solid 10 minutes. I put a trash can under it, but the carpet was already soaked and stayed smelly for the next three days.If it’s the cheapest option in town, go for it, but be prepared for some not-so-pleasant surprises!

Really impressed with my stay at YHA. Really friendly staff, perfect location near clubs and the beach. The 4 bed room was really nice. Felt very safe, clean and wasn’t too noisy considering it was pride weekend. Would be back!

Very good location. The private ensuite room can be improvised. Beds are not comfy. They do provide free luggage storage facility.

I would recommend the YHA for holidays because of its accessibility, good location, and comfortability. However, there are some features that were not that satisfactory and need your attention. My day at the YHA was a pleasure. My family and I, my Aunt's family, and our elderly grandma were having a holiday in Brighton. With our large group: five young people aged 6-14 years old, four adults, and one old woman, we stayed in two 6-bed rooms. For me, it was a satisfying stay.Firstly, this hostel has a lift for people with wheelchairs, like my grandma, and the disabled. This explains my satisfaction. However, the steps in the corridor on the first floor caused a bit of a problem for our elderly grandma. She had to get out of her wheelchair and walk a few steps with her walking stick. My father then had to carry her wheelchair to the room/lift. If you can manage to walk a few steps, I will still recommend this place to stay the night.Secondly, where the YHA is located is another good thing. The YHA is located near the rocky beach and pier, making it easy for us to access these highlights. This means you can quickly visit the beach and nip back for a shower.Furthermore, if you prefer to stay in your room, some rooms have large windows and face the seaside. These magnificent windows provide a grandstand view over the sea and have the extra benefit of keeping the room cool. However, not all rooms have big windows, and it entirely depends on your luck. For instance, my aunt’s family stayed in a room with a smaller window, and the room was relatively hot.The room is also well-lit, with a light for each bed and a bright central lighting system. There are electricity plugs on top of the bed lamp and a small drawer to put charging devices in. The toilets have a light that will turn on automatically, so you don’t need to bother turning on the light. The whole bathroom is also very spacious with a large, comfortable bath for a relaxing shower after going to the beach. The shower is always supplied with warm water, so you don’t need to worry about unstable water sources. As a mild source of enjoyment, there was a vending machine in the lobby when you wanted a treat! For these reasons, I would suggest YHA for a short few nights' stay at Brighton for a large family holiday.Review by IanI will give this hotel 4.5 stars out of five.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and a half ⭐️

Fabulous location and amazingly friendly and helpful staffs. But bathroom was disgusting and there were not enough storage room for everyone. The luggage room was wide open and unattended which made me worried about my belongings get stolen. Continental breakfast is really not worth money :(Room was alright but couldn’t really sleep the whole time, had to move to hotel which is only slightly more expensive. Loved the cafe area but in general considering how expensive it was(for long weekend), I was bit disappointed.
