Even though it cost £12.50 ppn, there are basic standards; clean room, clean bathroom and comfortable surroundings. Sadly none of these are available at the Arncliffe; the room didn’t even have heating!||Would highly recommended booking somewhere else. This place should be shut down.

Absolutely disappointed. Never have I had to write a bad review until now!Only good thing I can say is the location is alright as main places are walking distance for most people. But don't stay here or you have a car (there is nowhere to park other than the shopping centre multistorey or the small car park down the down costing £14-24 for 24 hours) people were shouting/arguing and slamming doors most of the night. You can hear everything going on outside the building as well as people from a few doors down and what they were doing including flushing toilets. There was a breeze even when the window and curtains were closed... No one was on reception when we arrived even with a sign saying cleaning after breakfast at 2pm no staff members were in the breakfast room either. For me it was the start of the worst break away I've ever had. Just a waste of time money and what could have been a great first little couples weekend away. What a shame!!

I’ll try and be balanced. If you want a cheap bed, no frills with clean linen this will do. This hotel is in a poor state of repair and desperately needs work and modernisation. There was mould on walls and windows. Carpet in poor conditions. Single glazed windows with black mould/damp. Next door is an abandoned hotel which vagrants magnet too and we regularly found people sat outside smoking drugs and drinking at all hours. This is a very rough and cheap option. Not child friendly.

We recently stayed at The Arncliffe Hotel as a party of eight for our annual visit to Blackpool for a National Dance Competition. Having previously stayed here on 2 occasions, our latest experience was nothing short of appalling and significantly dampened our weekend.Firstly, upon check-in, we were abruptly informed that payment could only be made in cash due to an issue with the BT phone line. This inconvenience, which could have been easily managed with prior communication, forced us to waste time finding an ATM five minutes away, delaying our check-in process. The Arncliffe Bar was scheduled to open at 5 PM, but due to a staff member being absent with the key, we were left waiting in reception without any acknowledgement or apology. This level of customer service is unacceptable; a simple act of recognition would have gone a long way. Instead, we were invited by another dancer to join them in another hotel bar.Breakfast has deteriorated since our last visit, now offering only a continental breakfast instead of a cooked one. Unfortunately, the selection included burnt pastries, which were clearly unfit for consumption, as evident in the photos. This level of neglect is inexcusable. One member of our party, who has accessibility needs and was on crutches, was severely impacted by the lift being unavailable. Despite being placed on a relatively low floor, the lack of communication about the lift’s unavailability caused her significant pain and stress. It would have been incredibly beneficial to know that the lift was out of action prior to arrival. The condition of the rooms was deplorable. My bed sheet had a hole, there was a large black smudge on the toilet paper, and my shower screen was cracked and broken. Another member of our party also had a cracked shower screen and black mould on the window, while a third person experienced black mould around her shower. This level of neglect in maintaining the rooms is unacceptable.A particularly troubling incident occurred when I was locked out of my room due to a faulty lock system. Management had to forcibly open the door, highlighting the poor maintenance. Additionally, a member of our party experienced a serious leak through the ceiling, soaking her mattress and making it unfit to sleep on. She had to use a mattress from a bunk bed and sleep on the floor. When she raised this with management, the response was dismissive, focusing more on a secondary issue with the toilet not flushing rather than addressing the leak. This lack of proper customer service and attention to serious issues is disgraceful.Overall, this stay was an absolute nightmare, adding to the stress of an already demanding weekend of competing. The lack of communication, abysmal maintenance, and appalling customer service were beyond unacceptable. We strongly advise potential guests to reconsider staying here until these serious issues are addressed.

Smelly, small, and uncomfortable room.Very small bathroom.Squeaky floorboards; if someone walks anywhere in the hotel, you can hear the floorboards, especially the floor above your room.Breakfast was terrible; the so-called continental breakfast was very poor. They allowed dogs in the hotel, and the dog in the next room barked all night. The walls are very thin, so we could also hear our next-door neighbour snoring.

Hotel is in the town centre right next to blackpool tower gardens, Blackpool tower and close to all the tourist attractions and shops. Accommodation is clean, beds are comfy and rooms are of a decent size. Towels were included which was a bonus as well as breakfast. Staff are so friendly especially the man on main reception. But mostly it's affordable!!! Would definitely stop again and recommend.
