I have mixed feelings with our 4 nights stay. We had two double rooms due to the size of our family. The hotel looked cute from outside, the reception area was nice, the staff was friendly, the location is by two metro stops wrong for easier connections. About the rooms: the walls are probably made of paper, the double room was very small with the double bed probably only 150 cm wide (very tight for two rather small people). The twin room was a bit bigger. While the overall cleaning was of satisfactory quality (not good though), the textiles on the footstools, curtins, carpets, headboard covers in both rooms were full of stains that go back in history. It was extremely unpleasant, I did not want to touch the carpet with bare feet. Note to the hotel: please get rid of the textiles that are hard to maintain and replace with easier materials. The bathrooms looked newly renovated allthough limestone does not look good and it collects dirt. Again, easy to fix if bothered. If you like the smell of fresh bread, then this is what you get to your room every morning. Unfortunately, I don't like it. There is no air conditioning but at least you can open the windows. We tried to spend in the hotel as little time as possible. Luckily the location is ok near metro, restaurants, Hyde park. I will not recommend this hotel before their updated photos of the rooms show that the textiles, especially the carpets, are gone.

We stayed for two nights in a "Delightful Double" and found our stay rather average. ||||PROS: The staff is very welcoming and helpful; the interior of the inn is recently updated; and our room was very clean. …

Had a very pleasant stay for 6 nights. The neighborhood is amazing, 5 minute walk to 3 underground stations, Kensington Gardens, shopping, restaurants. The room was cozy with a comfortable bed, nice linens and towels. …

Staff were absolutely lovely, and very helpful. It is in a fantastic location right near Kensington gardens and a quaint pub with good lunch food.Room and hotel were very tired, but felt like it needed some serious refurbishment. The family room was very cramped and had little storage space. The bathroom was small and needed replacing entirely. Even the waste paper bin, which would cost next to nothing to replace, was grubby and bent out of all proportion.Getting up the the penultimate floor was a nightmare with loads of stairs which were narrow and steep (not that this can be helped, but worth knowing about if you're not good with stairs).Good price and if you're staying for a night, not unavoidable. Bear in mind some rooms have a shared bathroom.

This hotel lies in a prime London location. You’ll reach two underground stations, restaurants, cafes and shops in just 3-4 minutes by foot. Plenty breakfast and dinner options in the neighborhood. Major London attractions Kensington Palace and gardens, Hyde park, Portobello Road market and picturesque Notting Hill are all reachable in just 10 min by foot. The Hotel is newly renovated and very clean. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They even provide fresh croissants and coffee every morning for free. The only little drawback for some people may be small rooms (ours was small, not sure if they all are... call them direct to clarify that). We only used to return late at night and had no big suitcases with us, so it didn’t bother us. The beds are really comfortable though. There are coffee and tea makers in the rooms too which is really nice. The hotel is very suitable for individual travelers looking for an authentic London experience.

Very nice and beautiful hotel with a friendly, cozy atmosphere. The hotel has recently been refurbished and the room design is lovely. Everything is very modern and clean, but at the same time makes you feel welcome and at home. Very friendly staff, who look after their guests and are very concerned about everyone feeling well. The location is also great - central with public transport close by. Highly recommended!

Although a typical London guesthouse in terms of room size and in-house amenities the property is impeccably clean (seemed to have been recently refurbished in contemporary style). …

A place to sleep and get ready. That's about all. But who needs anything else in a city as magnificent as London? For $60/night, what more do you expect. The location is fantastic, the staff incredibly courteous and the neighborhood is beautiful. The rooms are small and a bit dated, but by no means are they filthy and uninhabitable.

I have been trying a lot of hotels in London as I stay 2-3 nights a week and this has been my favourite. Quiet, lots of amenities in the room, free (excellent) coffee and pastries in the morning. The best part was the bed - so comfortable and the pillows were heavenly. I'm just sorry the prices will skyrocket again and I won't get to stay here later in the year!
