Let's get the positives out of the way first: the location is not bad, although that is not particularly important in a city with proper public transport. The decor of the rooms and bathrooms is very nice (lighting, the paint chosen for walls, bathroom fittings, etc.).Everything else is negative---1. In this day and age, having an hotel without a lift is only acceptable if staff will carry the guests' luggage to the room. Otherwise, it is completely sub par.2. A real hotel must have some sort of space other than rooms: a properly appointed lobby, a space where breakfast is served, etc. Here you will not find anything of the sort. Every single bit of space has been turned into rooms.3. The rooms themselves are well-appointed cubbyholes. There is not even room for a chair in there.4. The staff seem to think that their job is simply to receive payments, including those shady, grey market five quid (cash only) that they charge to store your luggage for a few hours. All in all, I would not even call this an hotel: it is more of a glorified student hostel with demented prices. Your money is better spent elsewhere.

The hotel is in a convenient location and seems to have been renovated fairly recently, with a nice design and is well-kept. …

Let's start with what's good about this place:1. The interior design are all very fresh and new, very thoughtful, and we'll furbished with branded stuff like Grohe.2. Location is great, being a short walk away from Victoria station, with many good local eateries with homely vibes all around.3. Great price point as well, for what it's worth. That said,1. There's no lift, and the staircase is very tight. You may have issues with your baggage.2. The receptionist was extremely functional; don't expect any smiles, any extra words used, nor to hit up any form of conversations.3. The rooms are extremely extremely small. We got a shock when we tried to open our luggages to pack; it's a classic case of making more rooms at the expense of comfort for guests.Would I stay here again, unlikely so, given that it's along a street with so many other options. But if I do, I'll be sure that it's not too many days.

The room was nice and clean. Had fire alarm nearly midnight on 1st night but probably not the hotel’s fault. Stairs and corridors are very narrow.Asked to leave a suitcase for 2 hours, receptionist said £5/bag. I’d rather leave it at the station, save me walking back to the hotel. Not everything is about money, a little thing for customers would make them return. I’ve stayed in many hotels on this road and this place has not impressed me much in terms of feeling welcome.

Rooms are small, but clean and decent. Good shower. Good bed. |But…. No lobby or place to sit in the reception. No lift. |Very grumpy man at reception. No help. |The 5,- for leaving luggage the next day… I traveled the whole world and I never saw this anywhere.

The first room smelt like someone had died. Moved to the only room left in the basement with a (locked) frosted window door to outside.||As a woman travelling alone it’s obvs not a great room to be in but feel there is no choice. …

Tiny room in the BASEMENT of the building, no elevator, narrow stairs with NO railing. No common area, lobby stinks. Bed was comfortable, room was clean but small and dark, couldn’t even open the door all the way to enter the room.

Well, where to start?Location (near Victoria station), bed and decoration are amazing. And then comes the nightmare. The room had no hairdryer or kettle. Whilst I may skip the concern on the kettle, the hairdryer is surreal in a country where there are more rainy days than sunny ones. When we questioned the accommodation, we were told that they only provided what was in the room (TV, safe, bed, shampoo/conditioner, air conditioning), nothing else would be provided. At the very moment we received this reply, we took the opportunity to question the fact that there was no sign to put on the door not to enter the room during our stay. Again, there is no "do not disturb" paper, which should be indicated at reception. They put a notice on the computer and indicated that they would not disturb us.And this is where, once again, the surreality comes to the fore: the room was cleaned every day of our stay, even though we had asked them not to on the first night. We asked on the second night, they reinforced that the warning was on the computer, and again it happened. The most incredible thing is that, despite making the bed, the shampoo container was practically empty every day of our stay.Unfortunately, for the location and the bed, the accommodation has enormous potential, but with all the mishaps during our stay (and in view of the multiple offers in the area, at more attractive prices and with other added value), we don't intend to repeat the experience.

This hotel falls significantly below standard. The front desk staff treat guests as if they owe them a favor. There is no elevator, meaning you have to carry your luggage up the stairs yourself. The rooms are very small. Additionally, if you need to store your luggage for a few hours after check-out, there is an extra charge. The hotel does not provide additional room keys, and if you need an AC adapter, you must pay for it, even though it will be returned. I've experienced better service in many hostels, let alone hotels.Edit: forgot to mention that the carpet is just disgusting and we had to ask twice for a soap refill. Also a room for 3 just leaves no room for anything else.
