I have stayed at The Rove twice, both times for convenience to the Heathrow Express & Paddington Station. The rooms are tiny for sure, but very well appointed and spotless. I understand people's complaints, but this is an old building that once would have been family homes so actually the use of space is genius. If you have lots of luggage, book a big room. We were quite happy for one night & the price is very competitive for central London.

The rooms are simply too small. And for some reason, the sliding door to the toilet and bathroom is frosted glass and very see-through. As a result, the toilet is on full display... My partner and I are close, but we aren't that close. Some things need to be private. The bed is right up against the toilet door, and the door is see through. And as the room is so small, there is nowhere else to sit. You get the idea...The hotel itself is in a nice location, and the service is good, but the rooms are simply far too small. If you're traveling with luggage, look elsewhere. Trust me. Unless you're by yourself, then you may be ok.And as mentioned, the lack of privacy for the toilet is bizarre.

The room is too small and there is not privacy in the bathroom, due to the division between bed and bathroom is made of glass. It is ok if you are traveling alone, but in couple could be uncomfortable/ annoying. The location is great, and service was good. The room was clean and had amenities. However, for the amount of money paid, we expected much more.

I booked the room as I needed a lift due to a foot injury. Unfortunately, you can hear the lift in the room.Great location as so close to the stations. Lovely staff.Nowhere to make a coffee easily and the coffee machine flooded.I’m at the end of my trip so 1 night it’s fine.

I booked this hotel through Amex and trusted their 4-star rating. The only good thing about this hotel is its location. We paid $300 per night for our 6-night stay! Upon checked in, I asked if we could have a room on a higher floor. As usual, they said they were completely booked. They gave us a room on the ground level, and when we walked in, it looked like a dungeon! One side of the wall was damp, and we could even smell mold. We were supposed to have a queen bed, but the room had a full-sized bed.I immediately went back and said we couldn’t stay in that room. The gentleman at the desk said, “Sorry, that’s all we have.” I went back, grabbed our stuff, and told him we were leaving. Then he said, “Let me see if I can make some changes!” He put us in a room on the 2nd floor, facing the back wall of another building. The room was very tiny, and the funniest part was the coffee machine and electric kettle on the desk—with no outlet on that side of the room! The fridge and TV didn’t work either. The whole building rattled every single minute because the metro runs underneath it (less on the weekend). So, if you're a light sleeper, good luck. As for cleanliness, after seeing how the staff cleaned the other rooms, I refused to have housekeeping during our stay. Very disappointed with this hotel!

When booking I specifically found a room with both air conditioning and an elevator, as we were travelling in the middle of summer with 8-weeks of luggage. When we checked in, we found that there was an elevator but we still had to carry bags across a staircase on the 4th floor. We then arrived in the room to find absolutely NO space at all - in fact we couldn’t even open our suitcases without putting them on top of the bed, and I had to climb over one side of the bed to get to my side. Then - the air conditioning didn’t work and it was a 30 degree evening. We asked reception if we could be moved and were informed the hotel is fully booked. To make things worse, there was no hot water, fridge didn’t work, AND the TV didn’t work (including Netflix). It was a miserable stay. I asked reception if a manager could contact me and haven’t heard anything. So so disappointing. For the amount you pay, you expect much much more.

Great location, and atmosphere. The rooms are small, but they have all you need. Honestly, the location is what counts the most. Very central - and right on top of Paddington, so you can take the tube just about anywhere. So be warned, though - you can hear and feel the trains moving about throughout the day and night…but it’s not as bad as you might think. If you’re a very, very light sleeper, then it might be problematic. Otherwise, it’s just a minor inconvenience.

Amazing Location ! However the rooms were pretty small and you will have 0 privacy in the bathrooms because of the glass door. If you’re a light sleeper like me you might have trouble sleeping because the walls are pretty thin and our neighbours were really loud. You will also be able to hear and feel the underground…even in the third floor . It is super close to Paddington Station and LHR. You can also reach Marylebone , Notting Hill and Kensington by foot, which is pretty nice . The staff is very friendly and welcoming .

1 minutes from Paddington station, very convenient to reach from LHR and move aroud the city. But also quiet place even at night, since this hotel is not facing main street. Lots of restaurant around. Not spacious but enough for 1 person, well thought utility, high ceiling. Newly reformed and clean room. Outside view is fine with park view.Staff is nice. One of my favorite hotel in London!
