I stay here when I bring my son down to university. It's a reasonable price, you can usually find a place to park and it's within walking distance of the uni and the town centre. …

As I had booked via booking.com the night before, on arrival of the hotel discovered I had actually booked for the following week by mistake, they then offered us a double room for the same price as we had booked online, with an en-suite …

Great place to stay if your going to a gig or a good night in town.Great friendly staff, great breakfast. Not necessary romantic, My Wife and myself were out for a gig, and for that we loved it.Plus she is gluten free and they removed the charge for 1 breakfast, whilst still having eggs toms and bacon. 😃

We had a great stay here! The hosts were ever so friendly and accommodating, everything we needed was there and it's right on the park which was brilliant for our little dog. Everything was clean and the price was very reasonable considering what was included. I would definitely recommend!

Firstly we were met by some jumped up young bloke who tried charging us too much. The room we had was at the top of the house despite us both explaining we had severe breathing difficulties. …

Our room was like something from a 70's adult movie set with leopard print wallpaper and a faux copper chimney breast. TV chained to the wall. Could have laughed this off if we had slept properly.||||Bed was cheap and not very inviting. …

Awful experience right from the start. After we had paid and were shown to our room (a twin), I discovered there was no where to hang any clothes. Not even a rail, they knew we were there for graduation and I didn't have anywhere to hang my dress. There was a sofa in the room which looked to be 30 years old, extremely worn and stained. The beds, mattresses were unbelievably horrible, just putting your hand on it you could feel the springs sticking out, followed by the bedding being damp and stained. Two communal bathrooms, the first the toilet seat didn't fit the toilet the second had a makeshift lock with a piece of plastic and a broken toilet seat. After a few hours we discovered there was a hole in the ceiling which was dripping water on to the nasty sofa. After using the excuse it must be the weather, we were moved to two rooms, these had wardrobes in, which was a little bonus but again mattresses were old and had springs sticking out and again the bedding was stained. We were told we had to be out these rooms in the morning as they had been booked for the next night. They knew we were leaving at half 8 for my graduation. The only person who came to the desk the next morning was a cleaner who had nothing to say. After we had to move all of our belongings to our car which was parked in an alley and leave them there for the day. Which not only was not safe was such an inconvenience because we had to run back and forth and with a floor length dress and heels on this was a nightmare. After my graduation we didn't even know what was happening we got back and had to head straight to the car. After finding some trainers from the car I went to speak to the manger who only offered us excuses and either two ensuite rooms or a refund for our second night. The only good thing to come out of this, is that after the owner came we got a full refund which allowed us to get a different hotel for our second night.
