Great location, lovely property, friendly staff. Services have clearly been reduced however which was disappointing e.g. no evening meals or lunches, which is such a shame as it has a great terrace with view. Personally didn't like dogs in main dining room. Breakfast was reasonable but no chef. Just needs revitalising.

Beautiful setting. We managed to coincide our stay with fabulous weather and breakfast on the terrace overlooking the sea and nearby cliffs was sublime. Our Suite was fabulous with the most amazing views and spotlessly clean. …

The hotel did not live up to our expectations; it was not as the website shows. The layout of the downstairs is completely different, there is no bar (it is now the dining room) although there is an honesty bar trolley.  …

We came across this hotel as we left the cliff railway. Looking for lunch we noticed their sign and followed the path down to the hotel. Must say we were surprised and delighted to find such a hidden gem. …

Great little friendly hotel in a great position in Lynton. Breakfast also really good, with personally cooked options if that's what you want. Stayed 2 nights, perfect! We also had a really nice room with a view over the sea and down into Lynmouth.

Excellent stay and this charming boutique hotel. Warm welcome and general service from Peter who was the loveliest host. The views from this hotel are simply breathtaking. Dinner was great but there are also some good restaurants nearby to try out. Breakfast was lovely and perfectly cooked. Really glad we stayed here!

A wonderful boutique style hotel. Lovely old antique furnishings which were very quintessential. Loved the bone China tea cups and sets. Stunning views. We stayed for 3 nights in a superior room. Large and comfortable. Beautiful views of the sea and beyond. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Breakfast was delicious with a good selection of choice as was the evening meals. The food was excellent. We sat in a lovely room with a candle lit table. Peter was an excellent host in every way.

We stayed at the Seawood for 2 nights very recently, and were so happy with our stay. Peter was so welcoming and lovely, he clearly loves doing what he does! He could not do enough for us.The hotel was full of beautiful decor, the honesty bar was so easy to use and convenient! There were bowls with free snacks here and there to just help yourselves. There's a DVD library on the first floor so you can take a film back to your room to watch. Our room was spotlessly clean and had all the amenities you would expect. We had dinner both nights at the hotel. The food was delicious. We had steak on the first night, ribs on the second. The meat was perfect each time. My partner had the tomato and basil soup to start and loved it. I had prawns in garlic butter. They were perfect. The breakfast was the best Eggs Royale I have ever had, hands down! The bone china and tiny silver jubilee teaspoons were a lovely touch, as were the different salt and pepper shakers on each table. The whole place was just so welcoming. The outside terrace, and that view, just really can not be beat! I could have spent our entire stay sitting there with drinks. The stay was made all the more perfect by my now fiancé proposing to me there! So this hotel will be an important place for us where we made an important memory.Thank you Peter for everything, will absolutely stay again!
