Highly recommended. The hotel is lovely, as is the garden which is available for guests. Very comfortable, clean, well aired room with a comfy bed and good bathroom arrangement. The team were excellent: friendly, welcoming, and helpful. …

We took two rooms. One smelled of damp so the owner felt that opening windows would be the solution. As it was on the ground floor we didn't feel that was secure though. No other rooms were available to transfer to. We felt that the whole place had a smell of stale food and needs a thorough clean. The decoration and facilities were tired and dated. Our bathroom door was swollen and wouldn't close. It's not cheap to stay there, so I really think the owners should offer better value. We wouldn't stay there again.

Very disappointing, unloved property which desperately needs decorating. The room we stayed in was dirty. The shower was poor and mould around the tiles. The bed looked ok until taking the covers off the pillows to find they were yellow! This is a licensed premises which consisted of a few bottles on a table and an honesty sheet. Though we were going to stay for three nights we left after one and found a lovely hotel nearer the beach. Parking is limited and the garden very untidy. The breakfast was the only thing decent.

Lovely family run hotel. Everyone was very friendly and they made sure we had everything we needed. We visited at a sad time for the family, the loss of their Father, but they didn't let standards slip, I'm sure he'd be proud of them all, many thanks 👍

Lovely little place. Very close to the beach and lovely pubs and restaurants. Breakfast was delicious, we had the smoked haddock and big breakfast, good quality meat. Our room was a little dated but it did the job and the bed was comfy. Although perfect location for us and we loved the exercise, it is at the top of a very steep hill so something to think about. We would stay again.

Lovely quirky hotel but we were disappointed by the tiny room, en-suite and shabby furniture. Breakfast was very poor, limited choice for Full English and no pastries as advertised. The eggs were either overcooked or undercooked. Also be warned it is a steep climb up the hill to the hotel!

The people in this place is lovely and the house looks amazing, unfortunately our room had a very small and old bed and we couldn't sleep well the days we been there because our heads and feet were hitting the bed frame, the breakfast was nice and they have few options to choose. I don't recommend the rooms if you are tall or you going to stay more than one night.

Lovely home from home feel. Alex and his family are so friendly and helpful. | Lovely setting and sea views. Nice to have free onsite parking too! | The bedroom had everything you need for a night away. Breakfast was tasty and cooked to order, with fresh fruit too. Would recommend and will definitely return.

We found this beautiful place last minute, as we have been staying in the van for few nights toaring the Jurassic Coast, so nice to treat ourselves😊Alex the owner was very pleasent. The grounds & garden are beautiful, the room clean & comfortable over looking the garden. The breakfast was lovely & plenty, and on the plus side parking & 10 minute walk down to sea front, Alex gave us a little map & recommended some lovely restaurants/pubs to visit, Perfect little gem.also 13.00 cheak in 11 clock cheak out so plenty of time. No rushWould highly recommend.
