Such a beautiful place to stay. The hotel is clean, fresh and tastefully decorated/furnished. The owners and the staff are the most friendliest I've come across, within the hotel sector. Nothing is too much trouble! Then there is the food!!! Excellent choice for breakfast and all done to an incredible standard. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again. Well done all at Summerhill Hotel

Knowing how to review this 'hotel' is strange - the location is great - v quiet in a beautiful little cove but still less than 10 mins walking to the more Margate like Paignton beachfront. The room however was beyond basic, and hideously noisy from the other guests - felt more like a down on its luck bed and breakfast rather than a hotel - if the weather hadn't been lovely it would have been dreadful. We had a great 4 night break and the staff were friendly but we wouldn't go back.

Still here, leave on Sunday, but family run business, very clean, staff superb and helpful, friendly, big up to Dennis, Debbie, Sophie, Ann and the other sister who's name I forgot, please forgive me dear. The breakfast is banging. Hotel is only 5 minutes roughly walk from the beach and Youngs Park. Nicely decorated and rooms very different but quaint. I'm a support worker and with two service users and they have been treated well. ❤️ Thanks for everything.

Superb hotel with great service and food!Just spent 8 days at Summerhill on our 4th stay and as ever it was a lovely stay and that despite Debbie, Peter and the family having a challenging week. Lovely room, great location and breakfasts and evening meals that never fail to disappoint. As importantly as ever though was the high standards of customer service from all the family, which in this covid world is as good as ever. Only disappointment was not seeing Debbie to say goodbye when we were going! We will be back....

Stayed here for two nights but wished we had booked longer. Breakfast was excellent especially the fruit yoghurt. We had already made plans and so were unable to dine there for the evening meal. The menu looked quite varied and reasonably priced. We would definitely stay here again. Good location. Very friendly staff, and felt Covid-safe.

Lovely staffOur room was beautiful and we had lovely big windows which you can see the sea.Can walk down to the park on the sea front and then along the coastal path and into the town which is beautiful.Staff were friendly and attentive but not intrusive. Breakfast was great. And it’s really good to have the small bar to be able to get a chilled glass of wine to enjoy on the terrace. The only part which let it down slightly was the en-suite which needs updating, the shower has no power the extent I ended up having a bath because it was so bad. And the bathroom window and blinds are a bit stained / have mildew. It needs a new modern en-suite which can be styled in keeping with the room. But as it is, I wouldn’t want to stay in that room again even though the room was stunning, because the en-suite and shower let it down

Friendly, outgoing staff, lovely, healthy food (the sea-food dishes were absolutely delightful) and also quite important, very clean and tidy.I stayed for two weeks feeling at home every minute of it. With the beach not far away, what more can you wish. If you are not happy there, you will not be anywhere else! Would recommend to anyone looking for accommodation in Devon.
