A great place to recover after a long day of walking. This place is magnificent; a night lulled by the sound of the waves and a wake-up call from the seagulls. The room was clean. …

So friendly, welcoming and clean. A genuine country hotel run by people who love their jobs and it shows. Always a pleasure to come here, one of our absolute favourite places - whatever the weather and time of the year. Going back again next month!

I stayed 1 night and had dinner and drinks. Amazing location. Staff couldn't do enough, very helpful and friendly, and that extends to barstaff, waitresses and the owners alike. Room was perfectly nice, good comfortable bed. Private bathroom 3 doors down was also good. Beer selection was good, and clearly well kept. Breakfast also good with decent bacon and sausage. The only reason I have docked 1 star is for the food in the restaurant on the evening, which was decidedly average in my opinion. All felt like typical pub fare, everything deep fried. I didn't enjoy the lamb burger unfortunately. Otherwise though a pleasurable and enjoyable stay

We usually visit out of season, where the place is very quiet. Today, we visited and the place was full, no seats available inside. No problem, we said, we'll sit outside. …

We visited Hartland Quay and had a light lunch, sharing a crab sandwich and chips and some iced drinks. Sat outside the hotel and took in the view. Service was quick, food was good and lots of dog introductions for Skye. Fantastic views from many angles along the rock edges.

A perfect place to stay on our SWCP walk. Amazing location, right alongside the ocean. Room was fine, nice shower and bed. |Staff are really helpful and friendly and the pub is great for evening meal. Breakfast was great - would be be helpful if it started just a bit earlier than 8.15am..
