Didn’t stay at the hotel but had a family lunch. Very quiet and easy to get to. Food was lovely, staff were polite and professional. Prices are very reasonable. Plenty of parking on the day. Nice gardens at the front of the building. Cosy and relaxing

When we arrived we were told that we had been given an upgrade which was a lovely surprise. We stayed for 2 nights and had the full English breakfast each morning, we also had dinner one evening. The food was delicious. Cooked really nicely and everything tasted great. The staff were really polite and helpful. We don't live far away but just wanted a nice quiet break and it was exactly what we had hoped for. We really look forward to staying again, although they do book up fast!!Recommended to anyone

The place has stopped operating as a hotel. It’s now more of an Airbnb. You get a key to your room and that’s it. No bar, no restaurant, not even a fridge or microwave. …

We stayed for a birthday break, not far from home but far enough to relax. Stayed in the bridal suite… fabulous room. Very decadent. Dinner was divine. Breakfast was fabulous, whiled away a couple of pots of coffee, wonderful place to relax! Thank you Becky and Chloe for excellent service.

Visited this hotel for a friend's wedding in June. The room was clean and comfortable, very bright with lots of natural light. The grounds were lovely and a very nice setting for the wedding. All of the staff were friendly with good service. The wedding meal was also very nice, I enjoyed all three courses. The best part was it being dog friendly! So my friends dog was able to be part of their special day.

We visited the Edgemoor Hotel for a long weekend in February. The staff were extremely helpful, attentive and polite (particularly the young man at reception, who I unfortunately can't remember the name of!), and nothing seemed like too …

We had our wedding at Edgemoor yesterday and had a brilliant day. From start to finish the service was outstanding. Our guests loved the breakfasts and our wedding meal was delicious. Lots of lovely local produce. Would highly recommend for weddings or for any occasion. Thanks to Charles and all of the staff for looking after us.

Fantastic, we stayed there on a Sunday deal. The service was excellent, dinner was excellent and we could choose anything from the menu. I had the local Dartmoor steak which was cooked to perfection. Complimentary gin was any from the huge range. We arrived to close to dinner to make use of the cream tea but owners offered to box it up when we left or return in the afternoon after check out.Breakfast was again excellent. We will defiantly be staying again and highly recommend.
