We stayed three nights in October, 2024. The stay was excellent. When you go in to reception and along one passage the place looks a little worn but the the public areas and our room ( #1) were in excellent shape. …

We went to Hotel Ensleigh to experience having a coffee followed by lunch. We were not disappointed. We had a nice coffee in the lounge soaking in the atmosphere of this beautiful old building and looking out onto the serene gardens. …

This hotel is highly overrated. The grounds are beautiful and the staff is excellent as is the food. But the hotel itself, while nice in some areas is downright shabby in others. …

Superb lunch, excellent service, elegant decor and glorious grounds and countryside. We were also blessed with brilliant sunshine, and able to walk in the extensive and beautifully maintained gardens. We've been here many times and it is still by far our favourite.

We had lunch there today with friends. The food was truly sublime, every mouthful a delight. We were at Raymond Blanc’s Le Manoir a few weeks back and it’s not a patch on Hotel Endsleigh. The staff were, as ever, charming and professional and always willing to chat. Truly our favourite destination.

We have previously stayed at the Star in alfriston which was amazing. We were looking forward to staying at Endsleigh House. The hotel, location and staff were fantastic. However almost every other guest had one or two dogs. …

Disappointed! Went for an afternoon tea to experience this lovely high class hotel and restaurant but was let down, The things that went wrong were they bought the afternoon tea in the wrong order so we had the desserts turning up before we had had the cream and jam scones which were brought out in a rush once we had pointed this out to them! Which then arrived with no plates to serve them on, and on top of all that they were burnt!! Why would a chef send them if they’re not right? See photo of the burnt scone which we left and a bit embarrassed about, If you’re going to charge me five star prices, then make sure everything is five star! You can have a better cream tea in Cornwall and Devon for less money and equally if not slightly better quality, Check out the Carlyon Bay hotel, or talon Bay hotel, there are so many beautiful to see and experience at this hotel, but just a shame attention to detail was not observed.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful. The day we arrived we were upgraded to a suite which was bigger than most flats. We had our dog with us and everything is set up beautifully. We had breakfast with our dog in a dining area which overlooked the gardens, all 108 acres of them which are stunning. We went for an hours walk around them and let our dog off lead which was lovely. Food and service excellent. Everywhere spotlessly clean. We will definitely go back.
