It's the first time I have been purely for a drink. It's a nice comfy bar area, I didn't think it was overpriced. The lady behind the bar (I don't know her name) I found very pleasant.

I found this listed on my list of places to eat, no idea where I got the idea from but I'm so glad we tried it today.Lovely pub with a great outdoor area although with the weather today we ate in. Lovely food, good portions and great service. I had the gammon and my husband had a pizza. Will definitely be on our list of Saturday lunch venues from now on and will perhaps try a Sunday roast in the future too.

Every time I've been to this pub on a Sunday they've got the bill wrong at least the last 4 times I've visited for a meal this time they charged £5.50 extra for cauliflower cheese we never had so I would advise anyone having a meal at the blue lion to check the bill because its never to your benefit
