Late sunday afternoon drinks here. They advertise cocktails on the blackboard outside so we thought that would be lovely but not available when you ask so disappointed with that. Why advertise something you haven’t got? Also no food available. Pub is a bit scruffy but friendly.

The pub has recently changed hands and has improved in every way. The inside has been freshened up with a coat of paint. There's a marquee in the courtyard for shelter from the best of British summer weather, and a large beer garden when the sun does shine. They still have the same great bands/musicians playing frequently that provide fantastic entertainment on some evenings and weekends. Finally, the quality of the beer has greatly improved!

Visited this pub to see a band. Sat and waited for half an hour no service so I mentioned it to the barmaid politely, got a blank stare, she said she was busy serving other customers. …

Great place for great ales and pub grub.Visited of a lunch time which was fairly deserted, so can't say how popular the pub would be of an evening of course.

This is a basic B&B above the pub. Room is basic but has tea & coffee making, tv and an ensuite with good shower and bath. Substantial cooked breakfast and all for £40 for two people for one night. …

After parking the canal boat we wandered into Brinklow. We were made very welcome by the landlord and his staff. Especially welcoming when they found it was my birthday- thanks for the Russian cake!! …
