There is a very large car park with ample room to park overnight. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. They explained about breakfast times and how to checkout if leaving early. They explained the keys for the room and main front door including the opening hours, they said to ask if there was anything else we wanted to know. We chose our table, there are many! We then ordered our dinner at the bar, the food was quick to come and looked and tasted great and were good size portions. There was a very good choice of food, catering to everyones tastes and diets. There is a pool table, along with a dart board and many large screen TV's showing the news and sky sports on mute. They also had music playing. It was a very nice atmosphere with friendly regulars and visitors. The beds were very comfortable and the twin room (no. 5) was a good size. There was also a wall heater to take the chill out of the room if needed. The shower was very powerful and as it was a corner cubicle it was very large inside. It was very quiet overnight so we had a good restful night's sleep. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice as well as decaf coffee and oat or coconut milk if looking for an alternative to dairy. The room when we first entered felt a bit cold and damp. There wasn't anywhere to put toiletries in the shower or indeed the shower room. I ended up with a wet bag as I placed it on the floor and this ended up wet after I showered, I'm not sure how but I don't think it was from any spray coming through the cubicle as the floor elsewhere was dry, but there was a small puddle under the bag to the left of the cubicle. The plumbing was quite noisy as we could hear our toilet make a flush sound occasionally I assume when the next room were flushing their loo. It was a shame the TV didn't have any apps like Netflix or Disney as I wanted to log in to our account and watch a film but there were no apps. It wasn't the end of the world and we found something to watch instead. Also worth noting although they had other fruit juices there wasn't any apple juice.

We stayed here as a base to visit Stratford on Avon. The room was very nice with a very comfortable bed, TV and tea & coffee. The bathroom was fully kitted out and the shower was excellent. We had dinner and breakfast here as an extra both were very good. It is typical pub grub but done very well. The atmosphere is excellent as it used by many locals who whilst quite loud are very friendly. Breakfast offers an excellent choice right from a "belly buster" down to tea and toast. Excellent.Food prices are very good and good value.Overall we were very impressed with The Alcester Inn and have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Very convenient for walking to town centre. Cleaned, but not in pristine condition: stains on the carpet and shower grouting starting to look like it had seen better days. …

Easy to find , plenty of parking , quieter than expected. Clean and great value for money. Helpful and friendly staff. No lift but only one flight of stairs to upper floor. Met up with several friends who preferred it to the prem inns. Would use again if we had a car show in the area next year

Very much a budget hotel. A drab brick building on a housing estate. It is surrounded by a tarmac car park which extends right up to the building. It caters largely for locals and contractors. A third of the vehicles in the car park are contractors vans and trucks. The night I stayed was very hot and sultry so I had my windows wide open. I was consequently woken up at 5.30 by two running trucks and "builders chatter" sounds of loading etc right outside my window. All the pub activity is one large room drinking eating two large Sky TV screens pool tables the lot. The staff likewise are very much attuned to a pub and not paying guests. This place is Ok if you just want a bed for the night and are not bothered about your surroundings. You just have to remember that you only get what you pay for. Quite frankly I have much better accommodation for similar cost.

The Inn which is more of a sports social club with rooms was difficult to find but once found the real misery began. There is no reception other than the bar which is very noisy. …
