I found this premier inn a cut above the rest as the hotel is situated right on the water. The view from the bedroom and the restaurant was lovely. The staff were so friendly and informative. It was such a relaxed time.  …

We have used Premier Inns for many years and always very good until this one. We arrived and I thought the building was derelict, so run down. We went inside a small dirty reception, staff were pleasant.  …

Stayed over on our way to Cairnryan, on arrival the place looked derelict very run down. We went to reception to check in staff friendly we had booked 2 rooms which were allocated on 2 different floors eventually got it sorted so we were closer. The corridors and reception could do with a good clean. The room had a good view but windows needed cleaned and overall was very rundown. We paid for breakfast went over to restaurant in morning waited for someone to seat us staff could have made more effort to be friendly seemed like they didn't want to be there. Table wasn't clean, food was cold and the whole place needed a deep clean. We have stayed in a number of Premier Inns and this was by far the worst, certainly wouldn't return needs a total overhaul. I paid £89 for the room and £10.99 for breakfast a total rip off. Would seriously advise anyone to avoid.

Greenock does not have many places to stay that are worthwhile staying in. You know what you get with Premier Inn and to be honest it's better paying for that little extra and know exactly what you're getting. This is the usual Premier Inn but rest-assured you will have a decent comfortable bed in a good sized quiet bedroom.

Negatives:Ceiling is very poorly noise insulated.I was on the ground floor and could hear footsteps and basically everything above me, hardly slept the whole night.Other criticism includes;Rooms uncomfortably warm, I sweat all night with a fan running.Toilets not cleaned properly.Positives:Nice, friendly and helpful staff both in the hotel and in the restaurant.

The service was particularly warm and hospitable. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and to ensure we had all we needed. The only reason I have given a 4 instead of a 5 was because of the breakfast. The choice was limited for both food and drinks (limited juuce options/no decaf tea). I have often stayed in a Premier, and the breakfast at Greenock did not compare with others. However, this may be a financial difficulty out of the hands of the staff.
