Early check-in was allowed for a minimal fee, and even though I was an hour earlier than noon, they found a room that was ready for me, which was a very nice gesture from them. Located a bit far from the Old Town, but in a nice area. …

A good size room, however fixtures and fittings could do with an upgrade. The fitted carpets definitely needed cleaning. |The staff exceptionally helpful and friendly. …

Had a last minute business trip and chose Travelodge Dreghorn as it was close to where I would be working. Never stayed in a Travelodge before and was very pleasantly surprised!! …

Room 23 is not fit for purpose. Room and hallway smelt disgusting, damp and mouldy smell. Mould patch on ceiling and the carpets were clearly damp. The door to the room was broken and had screws missing. …

over from Ireland to visit son and family found the hotel a bit shabby but staff at reception were helpful. My wife has MS and found the shower over the bath difficult.

Rooms are big enough, have a tea kettle, coffee, tv and nice windows, plenty of towels. Bathroom is also spacious and plenty of hot water. Rooms are kid friendly i.e. they have extra beds, murphy beds etc. Rooms are cleanish. We stayed here 5 days but they never once took out the bathroom trash even when we put out the sign on the door. Bus stop is fairly close by. Also close to Starbucks, gas station and grocery store.

Functional but requires some maintenance. We had 2 rooms as a family in different section of the hotel. Both had damaged windows which could not be closed securely.

We family of 4 stayed here in Aug, 24 for 10days, got rooms at GBP 170 per night. (I wish I could have got cheaper rooms as per their usual advertisements....but I can understand this was a festive period in Edinburgh & school break time.)highlights:-great shower, 24*7 hot water, with good pressurespacious rooms with a cot for 2, and 2 single cots provideda kettle, TV and a desk fan provided. but not many channels in TV, only news but its ok.the refills are kept at reception like milk, sugar, tea, coffee etc, you can take it.there is a starbucks near bylowlights:-this is bit outside of the city, I didn't have a car, hence had to depend on Uber for ride and food. Average ride into city costed around GBP 20, hence I feel, booking at a Travelodge branch closer to city attractions is a better option.Nearest super market is Morrison, you have to walk 20min.every uber food delivery will take approx. 40minthe toilet didn't have locks, you just need to push hard, or whistle when you are inside ;-)the position of toilet is too close the toilet paper dispenserI stayed in the 1st floor (only 2 floors), you cant open the windows at night, smokers will come out at random time at night and chat.we did our bit to the planet by reusing towels, and not calling room clean daily...I didn't use room service hence rating 3 stars.if you want to stay out of city buzzle this could be a best place.
