Very comfortable room in a lovely old Victorian building. Location great as just around the corner from Haymarket station and walking distance to old town etc. Michael was extremely helpful with checking in and the breakfast was an offer of fully cooked and or continental. Delicious and best sleep I’ve had for weeks 🤗

In my opinion better that staying in the Waverley area. Excellent pubs, cafes, restaurants and the station is close by. For the price it is an incredible find. Service is impeccable and the room 47 was warm with excellent water pressure. The only downside is that the doors are heavy so there is quite a bit of slamming at night as people come and go. Also no hooks on walls to hang towels or wet jackets. Otherwise fab. Working kettle, hairdryer, TV.

Very good hotel. Excellent breakfast, highly recommendable to have it included because you can eat a variety of food. And they made us a to-go breakfast at 6:30am in the morning. |Very efficient staff. They solved any problem within minutes. All super recommendable.

Stayed a night before heading back home to the States. Great location being a short walk from Haymarket station and tram. The room had a high ceiling and was gorgeous. The staff was great holding our luggage in the morning and showing us our room on check in. Easy access to the city centre.

I stayed at the Haymarket Hotel in Edinburgh and was pleasantly surprised by the interior decor, which was much nicer than expected from the outside. The bathrooms are modern, though some repairs could have been done more professionally. The mattresses were a bit on the soft side for my taste. Breakfast was excellent, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. They had no issue storing our luggage before our room was ready, which was a nice convenience. Overall, a comfortable stay with great service, though some minor improvements could be made.

The location is excellent as it is very close to the train station and even the city center. The employees were all friendly. My room had a view to the back where you could see a garden which was very pleasant. The room itself was comfortable and had heating available. The mattress needs to be changed as it is not comfortable at all.

Very comfy bed, friendly staff with easy check in. Great location close to pubs cafes and station. Perfect place to stay in Edinburgh if you just need a place to sleep, and explore the city. I’d certainly come back here to stay in future although the wifi was a little dodgy at times but good enough to get by.

Good location, walkable to the Castle and downtown area and very close to Haymarket station and trams. Plenty of cafes/restaurants in the area. |No parking however but luckily we were dropping our hire car back. …

PERFECT location and easy walking distance to Edinburgh Castle, restaurants, bakeries. A big plus was having a lift, which was uncommon during our trip. The room was not large but on a higher floor so we didn't get much street noise. We arrived during the Annual Festival (unbeknownst to us) and the receptionist advised us to see the Military Tattoo. What an AMAZING show and we were so lucky happenstance took us to Edinburgh

The Haymarket Hotel was great for our stay in Edinburgh. Close enough to Haymarket station without the excessive noise and only a short walk to Edinburgh Castle. The staff were friendly and very helpful and the rooms were tidy and comfortable. I would have no hesitation rebooking this hotel for a future stay in Scotland.
