The reason I booked here was it was the most reasonably priced accommodation I could get close to Edinburgh. |It was in a great location in the area of Burntisland. …

A very good and comfortable place to stay. My room was clean, warm, had a tv, and the shower was also very nice. The only issue was, that the power went off whenever I tried using the electric tea kettle. I'd recommend either fixing the electricity issues or removing the kettle altogether, to avoid situations like that.Otherwise, all good. Thank you!

A very spacious, clean and affordable accommodation. Admittedly, the building is very old, and the furniture is a bit old-school as well, but it wasn't too bad. Staff was very nice. There was a TV, a hair dryer, some tea & coffee next to a kettle, and some soap dispensers in the en-suite shower & toilet.Area seemed safe, and mostly quiet.

This is more of a guest house than a hotel. It lacks kerb appeal and the communal areas are in dire need of an update. Having said that, our room was clean, quiet and comfortable. …

First impressions of the outside weren't great. The bed is a small double, there are no drawers in the room. No luxury here, the decor is minimil but fresh, the room is clean. The shower, toilet and sink are newish but when servicing the room they should clean where can't be seen and take the time to dry and buff so it looks like it's been cleaned. The soap holder and such like need renewing. There's no curtains but old style wooden shutters, strange but workable. Our room was at the back, the passing car light shone directly to the bed, perhapse a curtain or blind would help with that. There's no breakfast 😣 We weren't bothered with the outside noise but other guests made plenty. Perhapse signage on being mindful would stop this. Some info left in the room for directions of the train station, and eateries with opening times as well as what tourist trips there are nearby I've got to admit I slept soundly which I don't normally do all night, probably as I was shattered buy I was comfy. I've given a 3 star rating as the whole building needs upgrading and there is no breakfast offered.

I recently stayed at Burntisland House Hotel and felt compelled to share my experience. Upon checking into my room, I noticed a significant issue that marred my stay: the linen on my bed had a noticeable spot on it.As a guest, I expect a certain standard of cleanliness, and unclean linen is simply unacceptable. It not only raised concerns about the overall cleanliness of the hotel but also made me feel uncomfortable during my stay. While the staff was polite and accommodating, their efforts to resolve the issue (providing fresh linen) did not fully compensate for the initial impression. Cleanliness should be a priority in any hospitality establishment, and I hope this feedback helps the hotel improve its standards for future guests.Unfortunately, this experience left a negative mark on my stay, and I would hesitate to recommend Burntisland House Hotel until there are improvements in the attention to detail regarding cleanliness.

This is probably the worst hotel we have stayed in - ever. No welcome at reception on arrival other than a very bad smell and a person who spoke poor english and asked me to prove my identity. …

A very clean, quiet and comfortable double room en-suite. Building architecture adds high ceilings and traditional wooden shutters. Room well equipped and has easily accessible plug points for various devices. Desk chair and high backed chair added comfort. Restaurants, takeaway and laundrette all easily accessible by foot.

Cosy, clean, spacious room with high ceilings and stone walls, modern and clean bathroom, friendly receptionist, daily cleaning, and perfect location (all pubs and shops on the same street, train station 6min away, and Edinburgh Waverley is 37min by train). One thing I dislike-too cold at nights due to turned off heating.

Pretty ample rooms, cozy, clean, with everything you need/expect from a hotel while traveling (toiletries, towels, sheets, etc.). Great location as well.
