Visited their bar/restaurant today for Sunday Lunch Carvery and we enjoyed our meal. The food was well cooked, meat very tender and tasty, with a choice of four meats available.Good selection of potatoes and vegetables to accompany the meal.Service from the friendly team was first class. The menu offers a good variety of starters, mains and deserts, plus a children’s section. The interior decor is very pleasant and gives a warm, relaxing atmosphere, and was immaculately clean on our visit.Worth booking a table in advance, as during our visit the restaurant did become full with both regular and new guests.Definitely worth a visit.

A one night stay. All bedroom furniture looked new, along with the bathroom suite. The twin beds were slightly rocky when getting in and out and moving in the night. The rooms were warm but was able to open windows. One room, the curtains could not be drawn, so not fully dark and outside security light shining into the room. Showers in both rooms were good. Ate in the hotel and only managed a main course.

Met by person after a terrible journey who thought it was ok to comment on how long it took me to park. Weirdo. Bizzare noise in room all night like a fan somewhere. When we checked in we were asked what time we wanted breakfast. 7.30 was the earliest so that was fine. In the morning we were there at 7.30, ordered breakfast, then at 8.15 still no breakfast. Other guests there after is got breakfast. I asked if our was coming as I had to go soon and the person replied chef is working on it. At 8.20 , nearly an hour later we left with no breakfast. The staff here were not just rubbish they were actually horrible. What a disappointment. £120…. They should be embarrassed.

Great Brie starter, went twice for it, unlike me. However, I landed straight into a fantastic Sunday lunch the second time, served by a very pleasant, informative carver

We stayed for 1 night in a family room (24) wasn't very clean cobwebs on the skylight and dusty all-round there was no remote for tele and the room was really cold they was a heater in the cupboard but was blowing cold air out. Room 25 they were in and out slamming doors and singing loud till 4am in the morning (no respect for the other guests) we did have a nice meal before we decided to stay for the night it was really nice food and the staff where amazing. we paid £165 I think at that price it should of been much better.

I can highly recommend this hotel for food and drinks . The Carvery on Sunday is really good and we have just had Dinner tonight and it was also really good . I had the Soy and Honey Chicken which was excellent , really tasty and well cooked , my wife had Scampi and chips , it was also really good and what a huge serving. Sticky toffee pudding was very good and served it for me with a dairy free ice cream as I am lactose intolerant , wife had cheesecake which was ok but not as good as expected . They do a good pint of John Smith's and the service is very good. Haven't been in the rooms but it looks clean and tidy.

Stopped tonight for a meal while on holiday, hadn't booked but when arriving the staff were helpful and showed us to a table. The menu had a great choice with reasonable prices and had a good range of kids meals. Once ordered, meals didnt take long before arriving to the table and wow it was amazing!! Can't fault the food, staff or bill. If we stayed closer we would definitely be regulars however if we are down this way again we will definitely be returning and would recommend this place to anyone. Thanks again

Understaffed (a catering position is advertised on the window) so service is sporadic, but I wasn't in any hurry! The meal was OK (small cod & chips) but some of the 'garden' peas were clearly from a tin, and there wasn't an option to have traditional mushy peas. Chips however were great, but cod fish was indeed small and perhaps slightly expensive for what I got. Choice of drinks was OK.
