We enjoyed two nights bed and breakfast and evening meal at the hotel. The hotel has a wonderful warm and friendly atmosphere and all the staff that we came into contact with were superb. …

We ate here following a recommendation from a local. I have to say it was one of the best meals we have ever had. We were warmly welcomed by Suzy (I think that was her name!) who served us a drink at the bar. …

I know nothing about whisky, but was told I had to visit this place. The staff were incredibly helpful, and guided my choice out of seemingly hundreds of bottles. They were attentive, despite how busy the place was, and respected my need to be budget-conscious. Great choice of drinks, and a really relaxing bar to while away a couple of hours in.

We ate at the Ardsheil 2 nights as the first night was so good, we had the featherblade of beef, the chicken haggis and the steak, we eat out a lot and this by far was the best food we've had in a long time the atmosphere is lovely and you …

Charming, quaint & lovely hotel with an amazing whisky selection in their bar. Dinner was tasty, and breakfast, while "simple", was very well executed. Staff are very accommodating & helpful. Just like every Scot I've come across on my 2 week-long trip, they were genuine and hospitable. Bathroom in our room was a wee cramped, but there was enough space to do whatever you need to do. Bathroom fixtures were modern, as was the mattresses & bedding. The only note of caution is that there's no elevator here- just flights of stairs. I would absolutely stay here again if I ever return to Campbeltown.

This is accomodation that also has a well stocked bar (with the biggest amount of spirits I’ve ever seen) and a nice restaurant. The restaurant had a very good menu, and we enjoyed a special - the harissa chicken with salad (I asked for no fries) and the venison casserole special. The Sticky date dessert was also very good

I Always have come here for my birthday dinner, and it’s always lovely! The staff are kind, there are lots of seats and the garden but at the back is really nice to sit in the sun. Would definitely recommend!

Didn’t stay at hotel, looked forward to eating here due to the reviews, however must have had them on a really bad night. Batter on the fish was thicker than the fish and the peas were hard. The baked ham was good, however the pineapple sauce was dreadful, no flavour and tasted floury, carrots rubbery and the kale was cooked to death. Ordered 2 glasses of wine, one was wrong, they did change, but seemed a general lack of attention to everything. Not sure where all these good reviews came from, but certainly wasn’t our experience
