Amazed at a few of the recent negative reviews on here! This hotel is simply a wonderful place to unwind which the friendly, engaging, professional staff create with their smiles and eagerness to please. …

One of the rooms offered to family (disabled access £110) was so mouldy it wasn't fit for purpose. They had a meal there which wasn't eaten it was that bad. The venue was decorated nicely for the wedding reception, but i think this wasn't done by the hotel. The bar service was so slow it was easily taking half an hour, at it's quickest, to be served drinks. The queue was the whole length of the room. Then the drinks were weak and over priced. The toilets are tiny, with toilet seats barely hanging on.I would avoid this place until they address issues such as those I have listed.

Sunday Lunch Carvery today was superb, tender roast beef & gammon was our choice carved by chef, deliciously hot varied accompaniments you help yourself to. We followed with Sticky Toffee pudding & lots of yummy sauce. Staff very friendly & efficient - highly recommend.

Sophie on reception was excellent, we needed to get a train in the morning to St Andrews for the AIG Women’s open, she helped us get arrangements made to get to the rail station on time, served us at breakfast. Such a lovely professional accommodating lady. Works hard to make sure you enjoy your stay.We had a nice twin room at the back, comfortable beds. Shower was a little awkward as you can’t move the glass door outwards to reach the taps, Toilet in the way.Dinner was good; we tried all the appetizers.15 minutes walk to see front and another restaurant, 20 minutes walk to town, 30 to rail station.

Lovely hotel overlooking the river. Quite a busy train track and road outside and no AC means the windows needed to be open.Food was amazing, best curry i have had for a long time for dinner and breakfast was really good! Very freindly staff too.

Went for the Sunday carvery as we used to go regularly when we lived in Kinghorn.Unfortunately we were pretty disappointed today with the quality of Sunday carvery. The meat was beautiful but everything else was either frozen or shop bought including the roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings! Which is what I personally look forward to, home made roasties and a fluffy Yorkshire pud! Then we had the tea and cakes which again were shop bought, and you could have played cricket with the scones.Overall very ordinary and wouldn't recommend. On a positive note, the staff and service was top notch.
