We stayed at the hotel for three nights and, overall, it was a pleasant experience, though there were a few areas that could be improved.||||Starting with the positives, the check-in and check-out process was efficient and hassle-free. …

First room had major explosion with plug socket. The wall socket was lose during the night a loud bang a flash behind tv where chromecast was connected. Second room was filthy found a condom rapper, haribo sweet under bed, every surface not wiped properly thick with dust. Travelodge offered a £5.50 free breakfast on next visit. Not even remotely bothered that we have a broken chromecast and almost had a major fire with two children in room. Have video of how lose plug wall socket was. Was not upto regulation was 100%faulty

Staff were friendly and helpful, the room was cleaned to an acceptable level, some of the amenities were damaged such as the sink and the toilet seat was very low. It was lovely and quiet, and the beds were very comfortable but you need to get more plug sockets nearer the beds.

This Travelodge in a quiet place but still convenient for road links and getting into the city. Staff were friendly and helpful, we had an accessible room near reception which was ideal for us. Comfortable bed and a wet room shower, lots of space. Would stay again.

The key to my room would not work on the second night, so I they had to put me in another room until the morning, with no access to my luggage, my computer, my meds or even a toothbrush. There was no-one around who could fix the problem.

What you'd expect from a Travelodge; the rooms are comfortable enough, and the staff are friendly. There is ample parking available at the front, although there is a lack of local amenities and eateries on foot. This hotel is located in a drivable distance from Edinburgh, although you may find it quite expensive to get to and from the city if relying purely on taxis.
