We stayed in the Moxy in Manchester as it is a dog friendly hotel and was very close to a gallery I was exhibiting in. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and made our dog feel very welcome with treats and a goody bag. The furnishings were nice, it seemed very clean and new and had everything we needed. The room was basic but all we needed for a short stay. A good shower, comfortable bed, smart TV, kettle, hangers, an arm chair and a separate ironing room. Most importantly the room was clean and the hotel was quiet at night. The other people staying in the hotel seemed respectful. And the shared lounge/cafe area downstairs was comfortable. Unfortunately there is not a fridge in the rooms, as I'm chronically ill and have to travel with medicated shakes it is quite inconvenient staying in hotels without fridges.

Stayed here for the second time, like the location and the modern feel. Rooms clean, good vocalist performing in the bar area when we arrived, complimentary drink is a nice touch. Not sure about all of the Receptionists appearances - felt alittle overwhelmed but they were very pleasant and obliging.

Good:- Great security. Surprisingly quiet. Great staff. Scrupulously clean. Well designed rooms (albeit small) and very comfortable beds.Could do better:- Lumpy pillows, better welcome tray (more than 2 tea bags, 2 sachets of coffee and 2 measures of milk). Hotel sign outside rather than just Bar Moxy so you don't walk round the building looking for the hotel entrance. More obvious signage for hotel check-in. Healthy food options. Tell the customer when they order food at the bar to get their own napkin and cutlery.

Stayed for 2 nights. Lobby amazing, lots of board games and a ping pong table available. Location was great! Rooms were clean, size good. No fridge/mini bar and no window, so the room had a weird smell when we checked in. Bed and pillows super comfortable. Staff were nice. Didn’t try the breakfast.

We stayed at the Moxy this past August for one night. We got there early because our plane landed earlier than expected (6am!). We didn't know if they could get us a room, so we chilled in the downstairs area - it was decorated for pride week. They got us into a room after an hour - and we were so appreciative! Our flight had been so long and we were very tired. We had some of their late night pizza when we spoke over 12 hours later. The staff were so kind as we were unfamiliar with the area. The bathrooms were very clean and the downstairs area was very cool and chill. The decorations for Pride were so colorful and fun!Highly recommend this place - you'll feel safe to be yourself and very well taken care of.
